I wasnt really impressed... 1st it was disappointing that you're not able to mix&match tacos for the meals (that's literally one of the highlights of taquerias is that you can get various types in one order); the cashier seemed bored and not inviting; the frijoles charros was pure grease and no broth and more meat than beans - I couldn't eat or enjoy it due to the grease; the chips were stale; cups were like child's small and not a regular drink size; gelato cashier didn't know much English to say names of paleta flavors - when she said nut flavor I corrected her and said Pecan. She said "we say nut". I explained to her Spanish that in English Nut means any type of nut- peanut pecan walnut cashew, anything, but the word for that flavor of paleta is Pecan. She gave me a blank stare. I thought I was being helpful but guess not. The atmosphere was nice, but I don't believe this place will see a lot of return customers. It's like going somewhere once for the experience but nothing I will choose to come back for. I did see the menu where plain grilled meat is just slapped on a tortilla and owner said something about people not understanding the concept. Sorry but that is wrong. This is a restaurant. Not someone's backyard where people are eating straight off the grill. Mind you, people that do that are usually the person grilling & the people standing around the grill talking. The food served at a carne asada has a full plate of sides, tortillas on the side, etc. You get the picture... As paying customers, we would expect more than just a large piece of meat thrown on a tortilla and called a taco. I think the menu needs to be re-done. The salsa bar would do well with small sauce cups on the side so you're not having to balance your little taco stand on your plate as you walk across the room. Add some agua fresca options. Also - mexican places have cheese dip! Put cheese dip on the menu! This is not a taco truck. You have a fully equipped kitchen. No sense in trying to make this a "niche" thing like it's a backyard carne asada type food, because it's not. For being lunch hour on a Saturday, there were maybe 2 other tables occupied. I don't think they can stay open if menu isn't updated to reflect real customer's preferences and not just the owner's "concept". The gelato place was nice, lots of options. It would do well on its own or part of the Mercado...

From First Impressions to Refined Flavors: A Taquería Finds Its Footing

Three months ago, this vibrant newcomer to the local dining scene was still stretching its legs—delivering bold flavors but stumbling over the mechanics of service. My first visit ended with delicious tacos tempered by missing sides and curious omissions.

Now, on my return, the kitchen’s confidence has clearly deepened. The sirloin taco arrives tender and full-bodied, each bite kissed with a subtle char, while the picanha offers that distinct, slow-building richness prized by churrasco lovers. The street corn is decadent—its creamy dressing accented with just enough chili to keep the palate alert—and the guacamole tastes like summer distilled: bright, fresh, and perfectly salted.

And yet, the dining experience still flirts with inefficiency. Utensils remain elusive, absent from both the order delivery and any self-service station. Salsa bar aficionados will search in vain for saucer cups unless they request them, a small but unnecessary hurdle.

Still, the leap forward in flavor and execution is undeniable. With a few adjustments to the guest experience, this taquería could not only hold its place in the neighborhood—it could command a spot on the city’s...

Tried this place because we saw that it recently opened and the reviews were good on Tik Tok, and we were not disappointed! You have to enter through a gelato shop which my roommate tried after and really liked. We both ordered the chicken tacos, and the first thing I noticed was that it was EXPENSIVE. Like the most expensive street tacos I’ve ever bought, especially for only two. And it comes with barely any chicken at all, do not be fooled with the toppings we put on them from the toppings bar lol. I got beans as a side and I personally did not like them at all, but I also should have just ordered the corn instead because my roommate said it was great. Then we got strawberry lemonades which were really good, but the thing is that they were also EXPENSIVE!! Like $9!! That’s basically the biggest thing about this place- the tacos were very good, not gonna lie. And the drinks were awesome, we refilled it with Minute Maid lemonade from the fountain, but just super spendy. They did encourage us to keep the cups which was nice, and the people in general there were very nice. Service is amazing, food is too, but just a little more expensive than your standard...

This place was suuuuper busy. I'm glad I showed up when I did cuz when I left there were at least 20 people in line. I got the birria tacos plate (with a side of grilled corn) and 2 extra tacos, one suadero and one pastor. Those 2 extra tacos saved their score from being 2 stars since they both had good flavor and a fair amount of meat. But I had two big problems with the birria tacos. For one thing they weren't prepared correctly. They basically filled the tortilla with meat and cheese and barely heated it up before serving. The cheese wasn't even fully melted. They were almost like a fast food taco. Secondly, they don't include the standard broth that comes with birria tacos to be used for dipping. You have to pay extra ($2.49) for that, which would bring the meal cost up to $15.50. I've NEVER had to pay extra for the birria broth at any other restaurant. It's like ordering a French dip sandwich and paying extra for the au jus. They do have a station with a bunch of different salsas and sauces to dress up your tacos, along with onions and cilantro. I do like the variety of taco meats on hand but based on this experience, no further visits are necessary.
