Shoulder had great flavor but was not done enough. Potato salad was not baked potato salad, it was a mustard base that tasted like it came from the local grocery store deli. It was not good. The deviled eggs were not smoked, and the filling was liquid. I threw them in the trash. I noticed they were storing them in the deli case cooler which is not proper temp to store deviled eggs. I had such high hopes for BBQ to come to town again. I will try again as I know they just made the switch over to BBQ. I hope they can fix the things mentioned and serve what the menu states. When 1806 first opened it was great. But a year or so in, they started cutting quality of their food. The salad bar had old veggies that tasted like they had mildew on them. They changed the potato salad and the cornbread salad (which used to be amazing). It was very noticable to someone like myself who worked in food service much of my life. The consistency fell to the wayside and I stopped going there altogether until they brought in the BBQ. I hope they can get back to what the food quality was. Not sure if people around here are so bent on supporting their friends/locals to the point of not being honest with them when the fall to being subpar when it comes to what they serve. This is an honest review. I love to support local. But food is too expensive all around when you eat out to not be honest when...

Read moreLivingston Airport is a great place to fly into to go get a meal during your travels. There is a courtesy van that can take you to this adorable historic general store for the best burger and lemonade you ever put in your mouth.
The 1806 General Store is a charming step back in time and the food was prepared fresh and delicious. And there is a good salad bar. One of us is vegetarian and the other two of us have food allergies and we all were able to get a hot sandwich (vegetarian got a Reuben without the corned beef, plus salad bar). Their fresh made old fashioned lemonade was the best and even more than that, the owner and ladies working there were kind, patient and so good about giving us great service and a meal to satisfy each of us. They even re-made my hamburger at no charge because I’m allergic to garlic and onion and their hamburgers are made with the seasonings mixed all of the way through. The taste was amazing, if only I wasn’t allergic to garlic and onions. No problem though. They made me one without it. It had cheese and perfectly sautéed mushrooms. 10⭐️out of 10⭐️, I would eat here again. K.Davidson I should have gotten food photos but was too busy enjoying...
