update: I wrote my review and then went and read all the reviews. You will notice the same thing over and over. They are stingy on the food, and no flavor. That about wraps it up.
previous: I just went here last night. The first thing I noticed was the price. The price of my meal was 3.00 higher from where I usually go. When I went to order my daughter the crab ragoon, I was like WoW, they are double the price. Well ok, my daughter wanted them so I ordered 2. I got 2 other meals in case my order wasn't good, because what I get is hit or miss, never know. I ordered a back up in case. I ordered coconut shrimp too to share. While waiting I noticed how tight and greedy they were with their signs. Can not over stuff to go box or they will charge double. How many people go for a to go box and stuff it? All the time. How many times are you charged double? Never, from all the places I went, all over. There was even a sign that said "No refill on drinks". That right there was extremely tight surprising. I was really taken back on that, lol. When do you ever see that? I only saw that one time in a place in Livingston but it didn't stay open that long. Now the food. You would think since it cost top dollar for to go food it would be good. This was the most bland, no flavor food I have ever eaten. The seafood delight was so bland that even after 2 packets of salt, and 2 soy sauces, it still didn't have any flavor. The coconut shrimp was done in a bread batter and not a crispy buttery flour batter like other places. The coconut sauce was good but who can go wrong on that? The double priced rangoons were hard and when I say had nothing in them, they had enough to coat the inside and was hollow. I was furious about that because 8.25 for a wonton is insane. I also go hot and sour soup, and that was actually good and priced around what others price theirs but was still on the higher end of that scale and it was fine because it was actually flavored as it is supposed to be. Most other places forget the sour part and just make it hot. I will not be going back to this place. My husband's singapore was good but not as seasoned and spicy as others we have been to. So if you like spicy, it wasn't. It was pleasant to me because I don't' like spicy more than flavor. Bottom line is, if you are going to charge high prices for your food, please at least make sure it taste good. The people were nice to face but I gave 3 stars because even though nice, they are the ones making the rules and setting the greedy prices of no refill on drinks, even though it wouldn't be costing them much at all and charging "double" and not as just according to weight to where it may come out to be 14-15 for the overage...
Read moreI came here a lot before the remodeling, I was quite a regular customer. My experiences used to be great, but the last THREE times I've been I've been overcharged and given the wrong sides with my combo plates. I ordered today (for pickup), two combo plates-sesame chicken and low mein with a side order of their donuts. Instead of noodles I got rice with both of them, which I'm not really complaining about because I love the rice too. But boy was I looking forward to having those noodles. I went to pick up at the counter and the little lady handed us our food and I paid, charged on my receipt by my card $16.10. About 3 minutes later, I'm already close to home (I don't live far at all) I get the text from my bank saying my card was used. Didn't think anything of it, waited until I got home to check it and it says I was charged $27.10. That's $11 over what my receipt says I paid-and what I think may have happened was that since I left the tip portion of the receipt blank when I signed, they charged $11 for a tip. I didn't give them one because they messed up our order and gave us the wrong sides-it genuinely made me angry because I'm so regular that I figured they would at least offer to replace it with the correct side, they just said sorry and handed it across the counter which yes, was polite but??? Seriously? It takes like three minutes to make those noodles-I'm not the one in a rush here. But since I left the tip portion blank and signed the receipt they can get away with stealing?? It's not right. It was only $11, and while that's not a lot even higher end sit-down restaurants such as Sammy's only has an $8 tip fee for larger orders... From now on I will carry my business elsewhere, even though I've enjoyed this place since I was a kid when it first opened and I love it, I won't be coming back. Don't forget to put a line through the tip blank if you don't plan on leaving it, guys-because apparently there's people in that business that feel entitled to your money and will happily fill it in for you. My mistake for leaving it blank, I guess, but $11 for a tip? On a pickup order? With the wrong...
Read moreI never thought I would have to say this, but I walked in this place. They had eight white ladies in there eating I was treated like every question I asked was an inconvenience. The guy is going to tell me when I asked is he cooking more of a product , he responds by saying that ain’t enough” when the only thing was left in the 10 was bite-size pieces of chicken and sauce, and then he continued to say you just gonna have to wait, so then I asked the lady which one was the regular eggroll and which one was the vegetable she’s got pointed the sign like I can’t read English and I politely told her I can read English but however you need to keep your product separate eggrolls just alike on the outside. They have a very smart mouth And I told him to their face it seems to me that you have a problem with Black people coming in your establishment. . When the white lady asked her a question oh she was more than happy to answer her question she was so excited. Oh thank you don’t worry if you need more come up get more they’re cooking more when her son says you cannot refill but let that would have been me, but don’t worry she’s gonna get smart with the...
