G & J Drive Inn — Restaurant in Livingston

I'm so happy they are open 7Days A week, I'm also happy they allow kids the chance to work and become hard working kids......... HERE IS MY ONLY PROBLEM:: when I was ordering our drinks ome of the ladies worker spilled a drink, as she walked away to get something, they had another talking to me. Well as soon as the young man(with the most amazing hair) came to hand me my drinks he had to walk straight into it. What happened he feel and landed ok but the way he feel and cought hisself is lucky. The young lady started laughing and caring on, As I saw him and went to speak it happened to quickly for my mouth to open. I helped him. I felt so bad. They all thought it was funny but He and I didn't. HOW TO SOLVE THIS PROBLEM.. They all should be wearing RESTRAINT NONE SLIP SHOES, I know as a parent of a 16 year old work I would love to know what to get so noting bad would happen. I didnt see no adult up in the front with the kids. But before whom ever is reading this I'm not complaining at all. It is a lesson that can be helpful. I'm not talking bad about the kids/G&J'S BELIEVE ME I LOVE THIS PLACE. I WISH THEY WOULD MOVE ONE TO ALBANY ALSO. 🤔🤔🤔 SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT HUH G&J'S. I want to give this place the best ever. I've been coming here with my mom since I was a kid! It had been a couple of years since I had been here, and I drive 18 wheelers for a living out of town, so I decided to come through during my home time. Let's just say, it did not disappoint! The best food in Livingston Parish hands down. Their fish Po Boy is the best in the state. It's even good cold after you put it in the refrigerator for the next morning. I took a few pictures to show how delicious it looks and trust me it tastes even better in person. The ice cream looks beautiful whenever it comes out, but the picture I have down here is of a 32 oz and I destroyed it. That's all that's left and you can see how good the swirl looks. The ladies inside are the best! They make you feel right at home and they even remembered me from when I was a kid. They asked about my family, including my mother and my brother, and they made it feel like I never skipped a beat from the last time I was in here. I used to come here and get sweet tea with my buddy Jordan Martin all the time. They have some of the best soft served ice cream on the planet and their sweet tea is second to none. EDIT REVIEW FROM 2ND VISIT 3/4/2024 HORRIBLE We had such a great meal last time, we decided to stop back through again. We ordered the same thing as last time. Last time it was 42.00, this time 25.00( either they short changed me this time or overcharged me last time) exact same thing I ordered NOTHING WAS THE SAME NOR WAS IT GOOD... , THE SERVICE SUCKED... They were short and rude. Instead of offering to refund me or charged me extras for what i asked ( I WOULD HAVE PAID ) They gave me the same steak with unmelted cheese. Raw vegetables...I WILL NOT PATRONIZE THIS BUSINESS AGAIN THEY JUST LOST A GREAT COSTUMER.

I had the pleasure of ordering take out from here a few days ago. The first young lady I spoke to wasnt too familiar with menu to answer my questions. So I asked for someone who could. She was very nice. Unfortunately I cant remember her name at the moment. I ordered a cheeseburger steak with fries. She even added the jalapeños, onions, and bellpeppers as my special request.
