1 star, it started from the time we walked in. The lady wearing all black was trying to seat us but thenshe decided to wait then decided to maybe seat us, like she couldnt make up her mind or let some one else do it. We have a child, and i saw child coloring menus, she didnt offer any. Then the waitress comes, i always order food for everyone at the table, its a thing ive been doing for years, i request more tea, salsa and chips or anything we need, from the moment she came to the table she treated me as i was invisible, trying to hit on my bf... I dont play that game, flirt and trying to hit the man up to get a bigger tip, i was paying. The jokes on her! But back to her service, it just sucked! (little hint waitress with the dark lipstick, which u never said your name, if you are trying to win a taken mans heart, TRY BETTER SERVICE!) She refilled the tea one time, came to the table maybe 3 times, 1 time to take the order 2nd was refill on tea and 3rd was to bring my childs plate out. We ordered the el burrito special 2 of then along with a childs plate, it took almost 10 minutes after my food came out for my childs plate to come out. The waitress avoided the table at all cost it seemed during those 10 minutes. My child was eating off my plate so by the time her plate got out she wasnt hungry. The beans looked like poop! The enchiladas had no taste, the tamales are small. We went to go pay, $42 for 3 people! Back to the lady in all black, she asked me how everything was, i thought she was the manager and i told her, everything i just wrote down 👆 what does she do, she goes tells me its a first come first serve basis here, i explained to her we ordered before 3 other tables did that the waitress had and they all got the food before my child did. She repeated 3 times its a first come first serve, i explained it to her slower and told her repeatedly we ordered before thw other tables did. She went and got the waitress, the waitress looked at me with a dumbfounding look like she was getting a slap on her back. I told her the same thing i told the lady in black, she says what do u want me to do about it, another waitress walks behind her and says if the child only ate half the childs plate only charge have the price, thats all she did.
When we go out to eat, we look for 3 things Service Hows the food How does the place look
The place looked like people eat there, cars in the parking lot, tables clean, people enjoying themselves.
The service if it is great we are fine and possibly go back. (no matter how the food may be, order a different plate. MOSTLY WE JUDGE THE TEA, CLEAN GLASS, IS THERE ICE IN MY TEA, HOW DOES THE TEA TASTE, AND DO I HAVE TO WAIT LONG FOR A REFILL)
The food has to be good. Other peoples rating have to be good before we come there. (if the food is excellent and the service sucks, we will try the place again, get a different waitress)
Bottom line, we wont be going back to this place ever! And i hope you never go there and experience the...
Read moreAbsolutely avoid this place at all costs. Overpriced trash food. Me and my family came to eat there and I've never been treated so unprofessionally and rudely. At first we had called in our order, but we changed our mind and called to cancel because we wanted to eat out. The span of time between calling in our order and canceling it had to been at maximum 5 minutes.
We arrive at El Burrito and order our food. While we wait our waitress asks us if we were the ones who called in, and when we say yes she informs us that "that was alot of food that we had to waste." Apparently the manager said this to tell us. There's no way they made enough food for four people in 5 minutes, and besides that why tell us that?
The food we received was rather poor quality. It was mostly cold. Still, we ate it and left a tip. Apparently the server didn't think she got enough because as we were leaving she rushed out the door after us as we were getting in our vehicle and proceeded to yell at my husband that the tip wasn't enough and that we never tip when we eat there, despite us not eating there before. Then she threw her tip at my husband while telling him he needed the money more!
We called restaurant's manager and apparently she's perfectly fine with her servers harassing customers. So do not give these unprofessional, ugly people your business. They don't care about anything but taking your money and giving you cold greasy food in return. God forbid you have a legitimate complaint, they'll probably throw stuff at you...
Read moreMy husband and I recently moved to Livingston. We decided to try El Burrito and saw quite a few cars in the parking lot (a good sign.) we ordered cheese enchiladas, he got red and I got green. The plate was accompanied by a taco. The cheese inside of the enchiladas was a hard, rubbery strip of cheese. Cheese inside of an enchilada should be gooey and stretch a little but no it was like chewing on a rubber ball. The taco was extremely dry and bland. It's hard to mess up a taco. They served chips and salsa when we sat. The salsa was terrible. Just by the taste it was either tomato sauce or crushed tomatoes with salt, pepper and cumin. There was no texture or onions, just smooth sauce. The chips were bland and seemingly salt free. The refried beans were OK... Not homemade. The rice was tasteless. The waitress was nice enough although she stopped at the table behind us and had a long conversation about medical procedures which didn't inspire the appetite. I got the check and took it to the register to pay out just wanting to get away. The cashier was in the phone and I waited for her to conclude the conversation. She got off of the phone and ignored me and started doing other things. The hostess stepped in and checked me out. We do not recommend this place and will not return. For my money I'll go to El Patron the taste is much better, the service is excellent and the price is less expensive. Regrettably there isn't a zero...
