I love this place!! There is plenty to choose from, but I recommend the Philly Cheesesteak, French Dip, SweetHeat Burger, and the Chicken Wraps! I love going here for the wraps, especially. If you like spicy food like me, you gotta try the Buffalo Chicken Wrap with the Jalapeño Cheddar tortilla (Grilled or Crispy Chicken, Bacon, Swiss Cheese, Buffalo Sauce). Buffalo and/or Ranch sauce is available on the side. Delicious!
Feedback to the Owner: There is one waitress who is exceptional. I need to figure out her name so she can be recognized for her excellent service! One of the best waitresses I've ever had. And of course, CJ is great and always says Hello and talks with us briefly. That being said, the other waitresses are not very good. They are indeed friendly but need to be more attentive. They need to make sure customers get refills in a timely manner, check on the customers periodically to see if they need additional condiments, etc. Most customers understand it gets busy, but when we see waitstaff standing around and we need something, it's very frustrating to see that first of all and on top of that, they haven't checked on our table since dropping off the food 15-20 minutes ago. This "Drop N Go" method where they bring our food to the table and then we never see our waitress again for the rest of the dining experience - I ain't having that, and this isn't...
Read moreVERY inconvenient hours and poor service. You have to get there in the tiny little window of time they're actually open or you're out of luck. Last time I tried to go with my wife, we waited up front in a nearly empty restaurant, with several people working around us, for about seven or eight minutes. No one acknowledged we had even walked in. FINALLY, we were offered a dirty table, and when we asked if a different table was okay, were told no and said we could have our pick of three or four other tables that were also dirty. Waitress disappeared into the kitchen and after not returning for a few minutes, we just left. We then went to Courthouse Whistlestop in downtown Livingston, and our experience was the complete opposite: excellent service, nice and clean, good food. I have not been back to My Place, and don't plan to return until enough people I know say that they've had a good experience there... Then maybe I'll give them another chance (if I can make in the teeny-tiny window of time that they're...
Read moreWe stopped here while on a road trip. It's a cute, functional diner with friendly patrons who all seem to know each other. I had the ultimate grilled ham & cheese sandwich with fries and strawberry shortcake. The sandwich was hearty, but a bit bland. The cheese was a fried mozzarella patty, which was too much cheese for a sandwich and bland. The fried green tomatoes on the sandwich were the only source of flavor, but there were too few of them. The toast was perfect. Fries were delicious and strawberry shortcake was underwhelming. My husband had the chicken fried steak sandwich with onion rings. They were both huge! He said both were tasty. The ladies restroom is functional and clean, even if not fancy. There's a generous changing table, which was nice to see for moms. Staff was friendly and our waitress was very good. All in all, we'll probably come back on our travels. It's conveniently located...
