Taco Nacho — Restaurant in Lockport

Wow! Who would have thought that this tiny, unassuming joint would turn out to be some of the BEST halal Mexican food I've ever had?

Met up with a friend for an early dinner after work, and decided to meet halfway, and landed here. We ordered tacos, a torta, elotes, chips and pico, and horchata.

Let me tell you, everything was absolutely DELICIOUS!!! The chips were clearly freshly made, and salted perfectly. The tortillas for the tacos are also homemade, it turns out. The elites was delicious too, although I would have loved a little more chili on it. The pico tasted fresh and absolutely amazing with a little lime sprinkled on it.

My favorite part of the evening, the salsa. The folks at Taco Moro warned me, that the hot salsa was a SCORCHER....and boy, they weren't lying! It was so HOT, but it was also very flavorful. It's rare to find a salsa that hot also have flavor to it. I had tears in my eyes but I just couldn't stop eating it. Also, kind of hard to make a veggie torta taste AS good as the meat entrees, so kudos there too.

Lastly, but most importantly, the absolutely best part of the experience was the hospitality! The folks at Taco Moro were SO sweet, so friendly, and so helpful....i would come here just for the personalized service. It's a small shop with limited seating space, but I can tell that it has a very bustling take away and DoorDash business.

I wish I could give this place 1000000000 stars! I’m so happy I found this place! I come here easy 4-5 times a week. Every time I come to Taco Moro, I leave with a big smile on my face. The staff here is honestly some of the nicest around they always greet you with a smile and make you feel welcome the moment you walk in the door, even on a busy day. You can tell they take pride in what they do, and it shows not only in the service but in the food. The tacos are the star of the show fresh, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned every single time! You don’t just get a good taco here; you get one that makes you think about it later and want to come back the next day. Everything is always hot, fresh, and consistent, which is rare to find especially after Covid. Overall mildly disappointed for the price point. Elote was overcooked and didnt hsve enough ingredients added. Steak tacos were very overcooked and incredibly chewy. Beef taco meal was okay, recieved 2 lime pieces for 6 tacos which is very underwhelming. Missing straws for the horchatas and I dont have straws with a pointed end which makes it mildly annoying with how its sealed. Staff didn’t acknowledge me when I walked in and had to wait for them to realize I was there as they were distracted by their phones.
