Yamato Steak House of Japan — Restaurant in Logan

This is a COVID-era response. There's been a lot of talk surrounding the opening of Yamato. It's been imagined as a hibachi restaurant, but there is no performing chef cooking the food in front of you. Everything is made hibachi style at one end of the restaurant and then brought to your table. We always get the same waiter for service and he is polite and attentive. The food is a couple of steps above the fare you can get locally, and the only place to get sushi. The two best items on the menu are the Bento Box, with rice, choice of meat, two dumplings and a spring roll. Yamato has an extensive sushi menu, and all the items I've tried are quite tasty. The choices range from usual to fancy. No alcohol is served. It's usually fairly crowded, likely due to COVID restriction seating, so they do a brisk call-ahead business...

I ordered for the first time yesterday online. And it was a tad confusing I thought it added one my dinners but didn't so I had to place a 2nd order well the app must have messed up as I did have to wait a bit longer, but they were super nice to make sure it got straightened out. Well worth the wait it was amazing. I got the jumbo shrimp and 3 sushi rolls, I had never tried sushi like this before and was pleasantly surprised. The shrimp was definitely great too! Normally I enjoy eating here. Must have had a new waitress(seems to be a lot of server turnover here). First she told me that they did not avocado tempura. I explained that they did and it was on menu. She stated she thought it was sushi.??? Then I did not even get it until I had completely finished my meal. It is supposed to be an appetizer. I had a take out order as well along with my meal I ate there. I ordered the seafood hibachi meal to bring home to my husband. When I got home the bag contained tempura shrimp and French fries.
