Creamery — Restaurant in Lombard

horrible experience. we came here wanting to try the big shakes and the ice cream sandwich. the girl at the register had an attitude the whole time and told us they couldn’t make the shakes even though thats probably one of their biggest menu items. no reason given for why she couldn’t make them i’m guessing she was being lazy. The ice cream sandwiches had the taste of freezer burn as they are not freshly made. the cookie was rock hard and it did not even taste like soft serve. It was barely edible. I went up to the counter to ask for a knife to try and cut into the sandwich and the window was closed and the girl who was working the counter didn’t even notice me standing there because she was scarfing down an ice cream mixer that she made for herself 🤣🤣....

Gave this place one more try. Our first visit wasn't great. Extremely slow service the 1st time even though they weren't that busy. Tonight, stopped in to give them another shot (hey everyone has an off day once in a while, right?) Wish I could tell you how the ice cream was this time around but I will never know. With only 3 customers ahead in line (2 couples and a single person) after 35 minutes of waiting in line, we left. The people behind us did the same as we were all frustrated at the wait times. Watched the employees take their sweet time. They had two speeds...slow and slower. Seems like they were more interested in talking to one another than helping customers. Won't be back. Stopped by there on a way home. When we spotted the place the line was short. By the time we got there, the line was long. I guess the kids coming from the pool decided to go for a an evening desert. We ordered bosco sticks and ice cream in cones. It was a delicious treat. The wait time was very long and because it got crowded and loud we could not hear them calling for a pickup. There was another line just for pick ups. A recommemdation to the owner to make this place more organized - number every order and put a simple digital display out so people at the end can see what's being served.
