Hong Kong Taste — Restaurant in Londonderry

I would not trust the ratings for this place absolutely awful. I never rate or review restaurants but I felt I had to this time in hopes someone else wouldn't fall for what I can only imagine are fake ratings and reviews. Wanted to try somewhere new looked as if you received a good amount of food at an alright price. I got a pu pu platter for two barely edible chicken fingers tasted as if they were severely over cooked or days old very dry, hard and more breading then burnt, dried chicken. Very little pork on the spare ribs all of them 80% fat. Fried shrimp same thing as the chicken fingers more breading than anything else which was also dry and tasted like Chinese leftovers that had been sitting in the fridge for a week or longer then microwaved. There are far better places in Derry or Londonderry area minutes away if you pick any of those places you would be far better off some of there place ratings might be lower but I've had the food at almost every restaurant in the Londonderry, Derry area and some might not be a 5star restaurant but far superior to this establishment. Do your self a favor and choose any one of those other places. I honestly feel this could be the worst Chinese food I've had in the 25 years I've been eating Chinese food. Prices of the food in store are 2x the price listed online Ordered over the phone. Ordered 2 crab rangoons 1 pu pu platter 1 spare ribs. Online prices listed each as $8 per crab rangoon, $8 for spare ribs and $18 for pu pu platter. No price quoted when ordered but based on online prices this wouldn't be more than $42 pre tax

The actual total in store was $84

Crab rangoons were not flavorful, certainly not worth the estimated $30 Spare ribs were not flavorful and very fatty, but not the cooked well fatty, but rather the undercooked and chewy fatty. Not worth the estimated $15

Pu-Pu platter chicken fingers were about 2 inches of chicken( 1inch wide) for 4-5 inches of coating (2-3 inches wide). Not worth it, basically batter Spare ribs were the same consistency as above. Chicken and beef sticks were not anything special, no significant flavor or anything that would stand out. Chicken wings were the only semi decent thing in the pu pu platter. Not worth the $28-30 for the platter

New to the area and ordered delivery from this restaurant. I normally do not comment or complain, but seeing as I paid what I consider to be a lot of money for this dinner, I expected a much better experience. I assumed our total would have been at most, $60.00. Much to my surprise , the total taken out of my account was $79 without the tip I had to add. Spending money for a fabulous and delicious meal that meets expectations is worth it every time! However, spending that much money on food I literally could not eat is upsetting, frustrating, unfair and a complete waste. I feel bad that I did not like the food, at all. The chicken and broccoli sauce was a white tasteless sauce , not one of my children liked it, nor did I and that cost me nearly $20.00. The Lomein was loaded with peppers and tomatoes, I’ve never had that in lo mein and it ruined it , lomein is our favorite but this lomein we did not eat. .
