TWINS SMOKEHOUSE BBQ — Restaurant in Long Beach

I visited about a week ago for the first time and I would definitely go back.. The meat was very tender and tasted fresh not leftover . The ONLY reason why I didn't give 5 stars, was because I wished the portions were just a tad bit more.. However, the quality made up for it, I was just wanting more... The other draw was supporting women in business.. They were very friendly and accommodating.. I not sure if the young lady I dealt with was the owner, but she fixed a situation and made sure that I walked out of there satisfied.. So for that, I will be back because my experience was great.. I'm fighting a craving in this moment..lol

Update: 9/26/17 It's been quite sometime since I left my 1st review. I visited about 3 times more since then. This is the reason I will CONTINUE to support them, not just because they are women, which I admire so much, not only because they are a black owned business, something I am proud to try to support, but MAINLY because they understand what customer service is all about. I ordered something last week and realized I was missing an item, I called back and respectfully informed Jacqueline of my issue, and without hesitation she apologized and offered me to come back. I could not because that would mean missing my bus. She then told me to just come back when I could and to remind her and she would give me a free lunch. Now I'm not saying she's just gonna be giving out free meals to whomever, but I think it's because she knew that I came by bus when I could've chosen to go anywhere else. To me, this is what good customer service is about. I know this is more like a blog than a review, but I just want someone who reads reviews before visiting places, to understand our reviews and opinions are real and good businesses should be recognized and publicly highlighted when there's a positive experiences as well...NOT JUST when one has something negative to voice...So today I decided to drop in for my comp lunch, and decided to purchase a combo dinner to have for the following day. I got my missing macaroni and cheese and it was so deliciously cheesy thru and thru.. My bbq fix is set...

We ordered pick up catering for a Cal State University Juneteenth event for 50 people and it was excellent! Ribs were perfectly tender, the meat just pulled away from the bone when you sink your teeth into the ribs. We also ordered bbq chicken, hot links, potato salad and peach cobbler which were also delicious. The hot links were great quality beef with the snap on the casing but also still juicy with just a kick of spice. The bbq was a game changer, I don’t normally like bbq chicken but this was outstanding, it had nice deep bbq color and flavor; Many people commented how much they enjoyed the chicken. I would go back time and time again for the peach cobbler! The peach cobbler was perfectly sweet, with a buttery flaky crust and the cinnamon spice comfort that is so loved and enjoyed! The potato salad was a crowd pleaser especially since so many are picky about potato salad. We asked for food to be ready for pick up by 2:30pm and they were well prepared! The food was all hot and beautifully cut and arranged! We spent about $24 dollars per person for a full bbq meal which was a great deal. I can’t say enough about how good the staff was, it was easy to order, they answered all questions, gave me options and even allowed me to add to my order with just 3 days notice. We hope to use...

I usually love spots like these and when I walked in the smell was wonderful. I'm looking at the menu and its normal barbecue joint stuff. This young girl walks out with the clear attitude, Walks right past me and stands at the cash register. I'm thinking that's odd but maybe people who come here usually know what they want. This was my first time. So she proceeds to take my order with the clear attitude. I tell her she should smile more and she disappears into the back. Once my order was ready another even younger girl brings me my bag. My order was for the 3 meat combo with the side of macaroni and cheese and greens. The 3 meats were sliced beef chicken and hot links. I got ribs, some kind of sliced chicken and sliced hot dogs all soaked in sauce. I thought about taking it back; it's actually not that far from me. It's just not worth the experience. Pictures below.
