Nip n Tuck Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Long Branch

My husband and I went here last Monday and it was a mixed bag. The bartenders and staff were friendly enough but the food was subpar and the prices did not justify what we got at all. My fries were greasy and tasted like freezer burn and my husband could not be bothered to finish his food at all.

The bar itself was nice but the environment felt very sketchy. There was a poetry and comedy open mic and many of the performers were just downright terrible. one gentleman was screaming on the microphone so loudly I had to plug my ears. My husband went into the bathroom after one of the poets and saw cocaine on the sink. We soon observed many of the performers coming in and out of the bathroom very quickly seemingly to do lines. I know it's not that unusual to see this sort of thing every now and then at a bar but the shear brazenness of this made me never want to come back again which is a shame because I really did...

I do not like to leave negative reviews. Usually I say nothing. But last night, my first time visiting, I sat at the bar at 6:50 PM. After sitting and finally reaching for the menu myself, at 7:02 PM I ordered a cup or bowl (menu didn't state) of tomato soup and a tuna sandwich on white toast. I asked the person behind the bar about 30 minutes later when I could expect my food, she shrugged her shoulders. I understand, it may have been busy, but finally at 8:10 PM I asked to cancel my order. I paid for my drink and left. The atmosphere was lively and enjoyable. I just wonder how the food...

Sorry to read the previous review. This is a dive bar with craft beer and good food. I've stayed away for years because of the "redneck" feel to the place. Recently I've been a patron and not seen what he's said. Not all of us are that way and if I saw/heard what he says, I would've stood up for him.
