I was so excited to see Spruce in Longmont because I enjoy their GF breads that I often get at Ziggi's. The location is great, and nice and light inside with fresh paint and local art. But I am giving 3 stars for the following: the first time I went was for lunch - so disappointed that my salad was pre-packaged (as are all their salads and sandwiches) in plastic, with the dressing also in a little lidded plastic cup and even the feta in a second little lidded plastic cup... Ugh... So much plastic, so bad for the planet. Also, the water cups are also plastic and not washable ones... My second visit was for a treat and a hot chocolate. First, wasn't asked if it was for here or to go (and I forgot to specify) so was given it in to-go cup; it wasn't full, which is disappointing (since I chose a 12 oz instead of 8oz and got about 10oz), and, it wasn't very hot which meant that lots of the chocolate didn't melt and mix in... See photos. And, they still only have plastic disposable water cups 😕

I needed a last minute dessert for a dinner party and stumbled upon this bakery by chance. The service was great! They helped me pull together pieces of chocolate, carrot, and almond raspberry cake and let me tell you they all were the rave of the evening. They really have the icing down—like a French pastry chef—and each cake was moist, tasty, and not too sugary-sweet so the flavors really surfaced. We will be back and I recommend you give this little bakery a try😊

I am thrilled that Spruce Confections has opened in Longmont. Their food is always quality and so are their beverages. I just went over and purchased a Truffle Mocha to go and they always make their own powder & it is never overly sweet like an un-named other coffee shop… I also love to see local artists in the cafe! I am so happy Spruce is finally opened!

Came here for the first time today with my 3 kids on our bikes. Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. Lots of options on food and drinks. Staff were friendly and patient as it took us some time deciding what to order. Mostly smaller tables but there were a couple of bigger tables for bigger groups. There was a fireplace. It's the middle of summer, so I'm not sure if it's turned on in the cooler months. There was also a basket of simple games to play. My kids and I played a trivia game together while we had our breakfast. Mostly breakfast foods, but there's some options for lunch as well. Overall, a great experience and we plan...

The old Queue's location, so you can use that to assess atmosphere. It seems lively at times, but this is Longmont.

The pastries are excellent, and reasonably priced. Be cautious that a number of pastries you might not expect to have nuts, do have nuts - just ask.

The espresso is solid. I don't typically order milk-based drinks but straight espresso or Americano, and the quality of coffee is good. I think it is the old Queue's machine which is a very nice machine, professional level.

I am very happy for this new addition to...
