Long John Silver's — Restaurant in Lorain

The food here USED to be very good and reasonably priced, but not these days!! I used a napkin to soak oil out of my chicken, fries, and hush puppies and the napkin was saturated in oil by the time I was done. And that was from only ONE piece of chicken, a few fries, and one hush puppy. I couldn't stomach the rest of it. Instant artery clogging!! The prices increased in the past year also. The meals used to be around $7 and now they're over $9. I ordered 2 meals and it was over $25. I ordered 2 small drinks with it. I'll pay that and go to Red Lobster instead and get a good quality meal for my money, instead of oil-logged nastiness. I LOVE their hush puppies though, but I can make my own at home if I wanted them that bad, I guess. The manager, who was in back making the food, was clueless as to what was going on. The girl running the register and drive thru was VERY polite, helpful, and had to tell the manager that the orders she was making had already been made and the people are long gone and she rattled off 5 order numbers that she still needed. I think she deserves a raise and promotion to manager and the manager demoted to mopping floors, which need it BADLY!! My FIRST step into the restaurant was onto a sticky, black mat and the floors were also VERY sticky. This is basic cleaning for a restaurant, and if that's what the front of the restaurant looks and feels like, then I shudder to think what the back and food prep areas look like! I won't be back for a VERY long time, if ever again. I gave 3 stars ONLY because of the nice young lady working the register and drive thru and knew more about what was going on than the manager. I didn't get her name, but she alone...

I don't get LJS very often. I usually get chicken when I go and it's always pretty greasy. Fries are the same. Floor feels sticky as you walk across it and the employees working the front counter are pretty rude. I stood there for over 5 minutes before the girl even acknowledged that I was there. And she walked by me at the counter several times?! I'm not sure how this happened and I felt badly that it did, but the couple who was there waiting on their food BEFORE I even walked into the restaurant, was still waiting on their food when I left?! How does that even happen?! I felt bad for them because I got my food before they did. I'm actually surprised this place is still in business, to be completely honest. Employees cooking the food in the back, I could see them eating a sandwich of some sort as they're cooking food?! GROSS! I highly doubt they washed their hands after eating too because they were right in front of the window where they place the food up?! The owner needs to invest in this business or it will not last!! Start by mopping the floors and hiring pleasant people and people who don't eat right in the site of the customers they're cooking the food for!!...

If I could rate lower I would. Had to wait till I got home to write this review, good thing or there would be alot of adult language.

Went tonight to get LJS for my family. I pulled up to the drive thru speaker at about 7:45. Then sat there for a good ten mins. No sign, no voices. Two other vehicles pull up behind me and we all wait some more. I got tired of waiting and pulled around to the window. The entire place was dark. Didn't feel right, so I look on Google. Restaurant listed closing at 9pm. What?!?! I understand staffing issues, I do. But edit your hours, put up a sign stating revised hours, SOMETHING. Don't let customers think you're open when you're not. Wasted my time. Very unhappy right now. We don't get LJS often as it is quite pricey. But I'm not going back to this location. I don't care the next closest is 20 mins away. If I want LJS bad enough then that's where I'll go. Don't apologize either. Just do better...
