Subway — Restaurant in Lorain

If I could give my experience zero stars I would. Im a regular customer at this location and I love coming to subway, especially when my favorite employees are working. Today, after a very long day I decided I would treat myself to one of my favorite places. As I walked in to greet the employee on duty I noticed she looked very miserable. Thinking maybe she was just having a bad day. But as I got closer I realized she was ill. I asked her if she was okay & she explained she was feeling under the weather. Her nose was running a little and she was almost in tears. I wasn’t trying to be mean but I asked if there was anyone there that wasn’t sick to make my sandwiches. She stated no, that they were short of staff that day and she was the only one. I think this is very unsanitary. I didn’t want to hurt her feelings, since I come there a lot so I paid for my food and left. I threw my sandwich away because I can’t afford to get sick and miss work. Best Subway location around. There is a subway closer to me, but I willingly have been driving to the 42nd street Subway for several years because of the excellent customer service. Everyone is always friendly and they follow closely to instructions given for sub requests. The quality of food that comes out of there is nothing less then outstanding. With their great team work they are quick at making food and it's made to perfection. The restaurant is always clean and stocked up on everytime I'm in there. I have ordered cattering from the same location and was not disappointed, nor were the others at the event that had the pleasure of trying the delicious sub trays.The sub trays were very well made and organized.They actually looked like the advertisement pictures! Okay so I get that people have bad days, but for the employees at this location EVERY day is a bad day. You can smell their attitudes as soon as you walk in the door and they act mad about having to take your order. If you call your spouse to ask about their veggies? They don't like that. They will call you out and say that YOU'RE being rude for being on the phone. My husband went in to order a salad and they said in unison "we don't cut salads". First of all, that's not a salad. That's a slice of cheese, lunch meat and lettuce in a bowl. That is an unmade sandwich. Why you can't chop a salad is beyond me.

If I'm being totally honest, I don't even blame the employees. I'm willing to bet my bottom dollar that they are underpaid and overworked. Maybe if management would treat their employees better they wouldn't be so rude to...
