New dogs are bigger but not better. The new price is past the price point for me. 2 Cupids and a drink over $12. Come on guys, I'm retired, a customer for 59 years and on a fixed income and I can't get 2 dogs and a drink for $10. It looks to me like you will loose out in the end. I eat at Simi, Woodland Hills and have been to all the others that have come and gone. Instead of coming once a week I will come now maybe once every couple months. When you hit $3.55 it was enough to make me cut back from 3 hot dogs to two. Then at $3.95, I brought my own drink from 7eleven. Now I just have to cut back all together. Your loss from my purchases will be around $360 per year. My word of mouth alone as an airport driver has brought you lots of business but I'm too upset with the new price to continue to send you business. I can't say your wiener is the best any more too. In fact, it is the same wiener sold at the new Pink's in the Camarillo outlets. They use Tommy's chili. They at least have a nice seating area. Only Cupid's in Simi Valley is worthy of saying nice seating. I can't tell you how upset I am that I have to say goodbye to Cupid's for 6 weeks at a time. I'm pretty sure a lot of us in our 60's will be thinking the same. Get the price back under $4 and get the old pork/beef dog back and I'll return. I might as well just buy your chili and go to Costco and get their $1.50 dog and soda combo. Only 3 miles apart. Here's food for thought. My son makes $104k a year and even he is upset at the new price. He lives and works in Long Beach and comes home to Camarillo as often as possible for a visit. He ALWAYS stopped at the Woodland Hills cupids and now he doesn't. He would buy me 2 or 3 too. That's 6 dogs lost there too. Sorry for they bad report but it...
Read moreOn the Los Angeles city side of the hill there is Pinks for all of your hot dog needs. In the valley, there is Cupids Hot Dogs. Cupids has been at this location since the 1940's. They do not even come close to offering the large selection of different hot dogs that Pinks offers. In fact, their menu is fairly small and simple. What Cupids does have is the best chili dog you will ever eat. There is nothing fancy about their chili dog. It consists of a standard hot dog bun (lightly steamed), a Farmer John hot dog that has the perfect snap when you bite into it, chili dog chili (thick with no beans or chunks of meat), diced onions and yellow mustard. If it sounds simple, that's because it is. Somehow, someway, this simple chili dog is a delight for your senses. When they are all put together, those simple ingredients compliment each other. To be honest, both Cupids and Pinks chili dogs taste quite similar but the chili dog from Cupids seems to have a little something extra to it that I just can't explain. The long long line during the lunch rush each day can attest to just how popular and beloved Cupids chili dogs are. The line moves quickly though so don't let it scare you away. The dog is so...

I've eaten here for the first time, out of curiosity. I've always seen people buying/ordering/eating here.
I'm not really a hot dog eater. Only once in a while, I'll get a corn dog.
BUT,... This place was impressive! I ordered this Chicago hot dog with bright green relish, 3 pickled peppers.. cheese sauce on it.. It was SURPRISINGLY GOOD!!
The cook's name was; Torn! (I even made sure by spelling it and he confirmed! 😁), was about to close this place when I got there, but he was kind enough to accommodate me, the first timer and another guy who wanted to buy a lot of hot dogs, but he only had 4 left!
Torn was patience enough and answered my question in a friendly & chill manner. He didn't sound annoyed (due to closing time).
Thank you, Torn!! 👍👍👍
I'm going to stop by again soon. Also recommending this place to those who are as curious and adventurous eater like me!
Pretty good sized parking lot at the back & street parking.
They have small tables and benches for people to enjoy their...
