First of all, a huge shout out and thank you to Christian. He really saved the day at the Dunbar! He is one of the most respectful, attentive, polite, and hardest working young men I have seen in a long while ... and with a smile. My last experience left a poor review about 6 months ago. I returned for a second chance. The atmosphere is lovely with a nice layout of both high and low tables for comfort dining. This time, I was seated immediately after Christian answered a few questions. When he saw the other server had not taken my order, he jumped in and took care of it. He paid attention to all details, even letting me know my order was ready, but missing one piece of breast and asked if he could bring it out hot so I could get started. He went above and beyond. My entire meal was on point! There is plenty of food, great price point, and enough for a second meat in my to go box. I was so full I took Banana pudding home. After I walked around the neighborhood a bit, I returned for a few minutes for the Sunday live Jazz music. What a bonus! I highly recommend Sunday after 12:30 to catch some...
Read moreI have never given a poor review but this was not a good experience overall. We were seated and not waited on for one hour. When I went to the front and told an employee I waited an hour she found a waitress that said not my table instead of taking the order. The two waitresses debated and one took the order. There was a fly in my strawberry lemonade. They apologized and brought a new one and I was not able to drink it. I was with 3 friends. All of the food was cold and the Ox tails and dressing tasted like it was made the day before and warmed up today. We had to ask those that were helping others to find our waitress several times. We were told that big parties and Uber meals made them slow. Bad food and bad service and Los of excuses was my perception. The live musicians were great and helped me get the waitress. The place was clean but to many tables over crowded the place. Hard to get out in case of fire. Seemed too be preferential service for...
Read moreI have been here twice and will have to return again in hopes of upgrading this review to 5 stars. My first visit was an early Sunday morning for breakfast. On first glance it gave a very good vibe. Very nice visually. The meal was certainly good enough for my to decide to return for the full experience. On that return, I was 'not' greeted by the hostess/waitress who was on her cellphone and proceeded to inform me that 'it was her manager' on the phone. I'm just going to list the problems that followed after that. No drink order taken with the order. Had to request silverware twice AFTER the food had been sitting in front of us for at least 5 minutes. Just laid the napkins and silverware in a pile when it finally did arrive. The corn muffins were overcooked to the point of being burnt around the edges. That said... The rest of the food was absolutely fine and as I said, I will return again because I would love to give this establishment a fully...
