Read moreAwesome little placed tucked away from the madness of L.A., the staff were wonderful and provided a very homely feel to this 35(I think) bedroom hotel. The area is quite industrial however connections to the big interstates are about a 5 minute drive away which serviced us very well for visiting more popular sites in L.A., this place is an absolute gem and for the price, is greatly beneficial on the wallet! We absolutely loved staying here and would highly recommend this place to most people! We have given this hotel 4 stars purely because there appears to be no cleaning of the room whilst we have stayed here. I note that this was surprising at first however you quickly learn from the friendly and helpful reception staff/hotel staff that it is because it is considered a self service where you can do washing on premises and are asked to take bins out as and when required. The cleaners do cpean all the common areas etc and will clean bed linen following your stay but this is one to be aware of if you are not already! The room has all amenities as you would expect and includes a cooker, microwave, fridge freezer and storage cupboards! As a couple, the rooms were perfectly sized! The air conditioning is a little noisy and you get the odd hoot of the harbour horns throughout the night so you should be advised that ear plugs are helpful for a cool and restful night!! That being said, in my book, charm, character, genuine feel of a place and creating a homely atmousphere are the most important things for any stay at any resort, hotel, motel and therefore I would always highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to discover L.A./...
Read moreMore than hatred this place deserves 0 Stars or negative Stars. Staff was unfriendly and uncooperative they messed up my reservation and made me pay more for it. When I was trying to get it resolved through the travel agency (Agoda) I used they call the hotel to resolve the issue but the hotel continually hung up with them to the point the travel agency had to use me as the communication between them and the hotel continued to be uncooperative. There was no notification and either email or anywhere that there is $100 deposit needed (credit card or cash only) upon check-in. The stove keep trying to light itself by clicking and they said that was normal when I brought it up to them. They were closed New Year's Day and I had to call the number 4 times before they could check me out I strongly recommend not staying here pay the extra and stay somewhere decent it was only slightly better than stay on the street. When taking a shower water was fluctuating in temperature when I wasn't turning the knobs and no power in the in the sink which by the way is right next to where I was supposed to sleep like less than two inches away from my head very tacky if you ask me. There were rips in the curtains and you could hear everything through the walls. The complimentary breakfast is disgusting what looked like week old muffins and donuts. Had no decent channels on the Direct TV and the TV was only like 12 inches.
DON'T STAY HERE. Most pics r not...
