Read moreI've eaten sandwiches here many times, and at first they were great. Then they started getting overpriced, way overpriced. Then, they also started tricking me by asking if I wanted this or that ingredient just so that at the time of paying I was told it was extra charge for those ingredients I added. I clearly had asked to make the sandwich as it is supposed to be, as listed, but each time they kept asking if I wanted olives, or Italian dressing, or onions, tomatoes, or things I was lead to believe were optional or that I had to choose since there were different options. And again, come to the register and the $10 sandwich turned into $18 (for example)... and those sandwiches are not that big. A 12-inch sandwich at Subway cost on average $10 and is at least 30% bigger than their large size. Instead, I now go to Jersey Mikes and the Giant Sandwich, 15 inches long, is $18, same price as this place after their tricks, but way way bigger and with no extra cost to add anything. Finally, the same sandwich today will be very different tomorrow and made by the same guy. Is like if he liked you he will make it good, if he does not like you, well... and you will also pay extra. I can make any sandwich myself at home. If I go out, is because I do not want to cook and I like the "consisting" great taste and atmosphere of the place. That's why we go to Starbucks too. But if I am going to be tricked, overpriced, and each time the same sandwich is different (on the lame side of things), why give them my money? That's why I spend my money elsewhere now. I did complained to them a while back, but the way they talk to you is as if I am ungrateful for not appreciating of having a meal. I can have a meal anywhere, it is them who should be appreciative that we choose...
Read moreA couple of weeks ago I went into this establishment and didn’t have the best experience. I’ve visited this store in the past without incident but this one particular time, I was subjected to racial profiling. I had ordered a sandwich just like the 5 to 6 other patrons when all of a sudden, the lady from behind the counter comes out and asks me if I want to pay for my sandwich, chips and drink first before my sandwich was ready. I told her that I would wait on the sandwich to get done being prepared. She stayed there and said it would be a good idea to do so because of the wait that may occur at the register. Mind you, she never asked anyone else in the store. Just me. Needless to say, I was the only one in the store that looks like me. Meaning of my race. When did bring up race, she said, “oh no that’s not how I’m looking at it.” I’ll never visit that store again. I don’t like to be treated a certain way...
