Malek's Grill & Kabob — Restaurant in Los Angeles

I love this place, and this review is long overdue. First off, Agha (mister) Malek, the original owner, was a kind, cute, older man who really made catering for a party (which is normally so stressful) fun and exciting and worked with you on price, but never compromised quality! He was so cute, when I’d come to see him, he’d always make me a little snack and say lovely things🥹he was so cute and fatherly like! He has since retired (and is greatly missed) but his son has taken over, and the same good quality food and service persists. Its a family owned restaurant, and they’ve catered so many of our events (all of our events) I can’t recommend them enough. I have only did catering through them, but I have no doubt dining here would be great as well (I would be here every week if I lived in the neighborhood). We live far but we still always go through this place for all our catering because we love it that much! So I came here with my brother for lunch after having this food catered at my job for an event and it was just amazing. We both enjoyed the food however the guy that was at the counter was a complete jerk. He was really rude and by the way..the weekend lunch buffet is not 9.99 or 10.99 as it is advertised. It is 12.99 so that alone is false advertising. Also you get one plate to eat with and if you want a new plate he gives you a small plate that's like big enough for a Barbie doll...so the food was great but customer service awful. Normally they used to be excellent.. but lately tbe chicken is kinda smelly. And they only use tbe same one plate to go nack each tome, not hygienic.On top of it the owner os mr. Rude. Cant keep a psper plate to take the salaf and bread and fruits etc. U ask h8m for hot tea instead of soda ,he gives u jalf a vup and mumbles when ask for refill . Cannot believe it. I took a bowl kept for soup to take my hummis and veggies and bread ,he came and yelled at me After going theire for soo .any years i see he is got too greedy. We will not retirn thete anymore it was 27 or 28dollars for 2 buffet and get yelled at because i took a soup bowl for the pickles salad...
