I’ve been going here for the past 15+ years. My last review recommended I should review this place. Since I never have, figured I should share my experience. I used to work down the street from this original spot on Olympic and the corner of Evergreen. I’ve seen their growth due to the amazing food. They used to have two corner restaurants literally across the street from one another on the corner of Lorena and Olympic. Now theres only one on that corner and it makes me sad. They’re always packed around lunch time and they close pretty early because Im sure they meet their quota everyday. Anyways this place has a dine in only, inside the restaurant and offers take out as well. They also have a catering truck parked right out front thats been there for years. The trucks now a newer, bigger and better food truck! The food truck is there take out option and most people just eat right there out in front of the restaurant. Small planter bench in front of the restaurant. This place always has a line. And for good reason. Its the best Mariscos place ever! My Wife has me drive us out there, all the way from Westminster in OC, whenever she has a craving for Mariscos! Doesn’t matter what you get all the food options are amazing! I personally always get the Shrimp Tacos Dorados(Toasted Hard Shell) and a mixed Ceviche Tostada. Wifey always plays roulette and switches up what she gets. Its always hard to choose what to get because its all soooo good! They give you avocado, limon, and salsa with every order. I’ve encouraged my wife to ask them what’s inside these Shrimp Tacos because they’re fire! Think they put crack in them because they’re sooo addictive! I literally take a bunch of shrimp tacos home for everyone else who didn’t get to go. They’re even better cold as leftovers! Can you say that about your favorite tacos? 4 Vientos has a special place in my and my wife’s hearts! Im so glad to see that they’re opening up newer locations in DTLA! I recommend you try the place and not judge a book by its cover, atmosphere, or surroundings. Granted the neighborhood is a mess. But its LA, and when in Rome! We always take some Home! Your new favorite Mariscos! Enjoy!
P.s. Parking sucks. I park in the lots behind the restaurant by the warehouses...
Read moreThey felt the need to block through I instagram although I did not follow them, only because I complained about one of the waitresses. I went one evening w my kids and my husband and one particular waitress was very disrespectful starring at my husband the entire time we were there eating. Our waiter was aan and he had the best service. It was this waitress who was CLEANING TABLES who just wouldn't stop starring at my husband. La mirada es muy natural, and I find women attractive so there's NO jealousy here. It was the DISRESPECT way she was behaving knowing damn well he came with me. She was in the far entrance and we sat toward the back. Everytime I looked up, her eyes were in our table. When she would pass in front of us, she would try so hard no to state but she failed to do so. My son even noticed it. Lol. She was acting very thirsty like a dog in heat. Which was pretty sad she felt the need to act that way, because she wasn't an ugly looking girl. But her actions made her look ugly and easy. They should have a little more respect for the customers. If he would have came alone OK, she doesn't know if he's single or not. BUT when you see a man with his wife or significant other, have a little more self respect and respect to the customer. I haven't had any other issues with other waitress at a mariscos spot. And I've seen some very attractive ones nada que ver con la de esa tarde lol and they didn't act the way this waitress did. I even walked out and left my husband there to pay before I did something to that waitress. And my son told me she was StILL staring at my husband after I walked out and we waited outside hahaha. He was watching through the back door, she pretended to be cleaning tables and kept looking up at him hahahaha. The audacity she had.. I can easily go back to this place and have this conversation with her, but I know que le meteria sus putasos so Id rather NOT. After she came and commented under my complained laughing. I felt the need to message her, and the restaurant blocked me and so did she. BECAUSE SHE KNOWS EXACTLY WHAT SHE DID!. SHE WAS THE ONLY ONE BEHAVING THAT...
Read moreMy wife is from Ensenada, Mexico, and we were near East Los Angeles at the time. I decided to take her to Mariscos 4 Vientos, the most talked-about seafood spot in LA in years. It was her first time eating there, and she was excited about trying some Baja-style mariscos. This place is both a restaurant and a food truck spot. Since it's very popular, be prepared to wait to be served inside and at the food truck. They also offer parking, but spaces are limited. Your best option is to park behind the restaurant in the alley area, where plenty of space is available. Mariscos 4 Vientos only accepts cash but has a pair of ATMs inside and outside at this location. We arrived around 1:30 pm and waited 15 minutes to order our food at the food truck spot. I ordered three Tacos Dorados de Camaron, and she had a Tostada Mixta. After about another 10 minutes, our food was ready and did not disappoint. The first two tacos were crunchy, had plenty of shrimp and fantastic flavor. The last one was the same, but it got pretty soggy due to the sauce and the time it took for me to eat it. According to my wife, the tostada mixta had Baja vibes, was very flavorful, with plenty of mariscos on a giant tostada, and guaranteed to fill you up with one portion. If you have the patience to wait in line to eat delicious food, please come to Mariscos 4 Vientos, which is highly...
