parrasch heijnen — Attraction in Los Angeles

This private contemporary art gallery was quiet when I visited on a Saturday afternoon. Located in the southern end of Boyle Heights, not far from the historic Sears building. The gallery was bright and quiet, and the layout was very clean and minimal, much like the art on display (several Edith Baumann and Agnes Martin works when I visited). Very much enjoyed my recent visit to this gallery. I attended an opening for a young emerging artist, Ben Horns. The exhibit space was impressive and open yet inviting and intimate. Both large scale and smaller works on display were beautifully hung and well lit. The artist was available throughout the opening and he was engaging and gracious.
