Phillips Barbecue — Restaurant in Los Angeles

Had a craving for bbq last night, couldn't remember if Phillips or Woody's taste best. Bought a deluxe combo for 22 bucks....disgusting! Taste like someone poured a whole bottle of vinegar in the sauce. It came with sliced beef, baby back ribs and chicken...the only thing worth finishing was the sliced beef after i wiped off most of the sauce. Beans were kind of like something i would expect from a cafeteria. Potato salad, awesome. If i am going to wait that long for bbq it better be good!

Bottom line...GO SOMEWHERE ELSE UNLESS YOU LIKE...

For people that haven't traveled outside of the city of Los Angeles this BBQ spot may be high on the list, but really it's just average BBQ.

This particular location is the best of the chain though. The meat is ok, nothing to drop everything you are doing to go get some. The sides in my opinion taste like they were purchased from Smart and Final nothing is taste homemade. So if average BBQ is your thing,...

Phillips BBQ is "the" best!!!!!! I always enjoy their barbecue! There is none better! Yes, the people have poor customer service skills, and no, the decor is nothing to write home about, but DAMN the food will keep you coming back! And I drive all the way from Santa Monica to the hood, just to get some really good bbq!

I been in California for about 26 years and haven't found a place better! I LOVE...
