Just discovered this place this morning. I'm a proud Mexican, ergo I Love Mexican food but Honduran cuisine has a dish called a BALEADA. It is a hand made thick flour tortilla filled with, usually, beans, cream, avicado, and egg. Repeat after me; Mmmmm. I ordered eggs with pork (breakfast) and the eggs were PERFECT. The chicharon was crispy were it needed to be and soft and succulent. Delicious! The only bad point was that it took a bit to get our food. However, that tells me everything was cooked when I ordered it. The place has an "A" and the restroom was meticulous, which is my deal breaker. It should always be your main ctiteria for where you DO or DON'T eat! It's a reflection of their kitchen. If the restroom; a place you have access to is filthy, imagine the kitchen which you CAN'T SEE. This place is a cute little spot to go eat your BALEADA oh they also have pupusas. Didn't order so not going to vouch for them but i saw them being served. My dish was spot on! The spots on my eggs are hot sauce I wanted to eat it and then thought of the picture i needed to flash. Did i mention the tortillas are all hand...
Read moreI like this restaurant, but i think it would be even better if they can serve the beer from Honduras (Salva Vida). My husband is from Honduras so he always goes to buy food here and he orders the pollo con tajadas for him and Baledas for me. I think the baledas are really good. He orders pupusas for my mom because my mom is from El Salvador and is an expert with pupusas. She gives they're pupusas 4.5 stars lol. Which that is good! So over all I think they're food is great. It's a small place so it can be hard to catch but its on a main street. I can recommend this restaurant to anyone that wants to try food from...
Read moreI went here because it was walking distance from my house. It really is a diamond in the ruff. The prices are very reasonable, and the baleadas are next - level (they put eggs and avocado in theirs, it really is a nice, small meal)! After I moved, I went to a closer Honduran restaurant and was so disappointed. They didn't even come close. I go out of the way to eat here now. The environment is also very comfortable. Waitresses give you breathing room, there is a cute juke box and two tv's that are always playing telenovelas, news or...
