IHOP — Restaurant in Los Banos

One my way to LA, we (a party of 5) stopped for breakfast. I was glad there was not busy. I 1st went to the restroom, and one of the stalls was dirty. The toilet had feces around it!!! I went to wash my hands and NO soap to be found anywhere they were empty. 15 minutes later, our server had still not come over to take drink and / or orders. Our drink order was taken by the hostess to help out our server, which I could understand since they were NOT busy. It was pretty slow. The coffee finally came, but we had no mugs. Then, about almost 10 min, the mugs finally came. Then we ordered. I made a very specific request for my eggs. It's pretty easy to please break the yolk and cook well DEAD all the way true. After another +20 more minutes, our food finally came out. My eggs were raw. They refired 2nd time they came back eggs raw again. Refined for a 3rd time... FINALLY cook3d all the way. After we finished eating, I made my way to the restroom to wash my hands and again NO soap. I went and told an employee about the soap situation, and she said she would bring me some. I waited 5 minutes, nothing. I ended up washing just with very warm water and then used my own hand sanitizer. For spending over $100 on eggs I would have hoped that at least they have the basics down..i.e. the soap mugs, utensils on the...

Table of 4 3 adults 1 child Yesterday 12-22-2024 are 11am/12pm Great atmosphere even when busy. Most of the food was good considering everything is close to 20$ a meal (bla bla bla inflation I get it). Here is why I give it 2 stars. Ordered the t-bone Steak and eggs medium rare with scrambled. Not that hard. What I received was this thin piece of Grey matter. The steak was thinner than the pancakes about (1/8") and Completely gray. Not only was it a color ive never seen a steak it was also very dry So I waited till the server was done and politely asked if she could take that back and bring me one that was medium rare. She was nice about it and came back with yet another piece of grey matter. Cut it, and sent it back the manager came back with another Gray matter and this time it was cold in the middle Fourth time they bring out more Gray cut it and it's at least edible. First bit was the most bland piece of meat I've ever eaten. I decided to get full off of the eggs and pancakes. And feed that to my dog. Didn't think we would go wrong with an IHOP, especially seeing how busy they were, we thought it would be good if not great. We got in right away despite how busy, we got our drinks at decent timing. Red flag came up when the waitress asked my husband how he wanted his chicken fried steak cooked. I wanted to try something new and ordered the chicken fajita omelet. Mine were supposed to come with hash browns. Didn't get those till the end of eating, which wasn't much because the omelet had so much grisly chicken in it I could barely eat it. My hash browns were hardly edible, they had to of been sitting under the lights a long time . My husband asked for extra gravy for his chicken fried steak and he was almost done before it came.yndaughter could barely eat her pancakes, they were fairly dry. Drink refills were non existent. My husband asked for a tea refill a couple of times, it never happened. Then she brought the check and asked my daughter if she wanted more milk. We said no thanks and got the heck out of there.
