This is what I like about small towns. Family run Main st diners . I always try to avoid chain restaurants. Stayed at a mom and pop motel a few blocks away and opted to stroll the main drag to get a feel for the town- not the standard homogenous chains on the highway. 6th st. Diner did not disappoint. Cozy little place. When she asked if I wanted 1 or 2, I naturally said 2. At most places, the pieces are about 1/3 the size of mine here. Not only that, but they don't place them on a cold plate like so many others do. Hot and crispy coating and succulent inside. All this- tax and hot chocolate included- for just $20.10. Yassuh!

Located in downtown Los Baños, this diner has a nice old Western vibe to it. The fruit cup was fresh and delicious, the pancake was made right , the orange juice poured from not contraté , and the eggs were perfectly made to order. Took off a star because it was good not excellent. The place was good but could use some TLC, the service was decent a bit flat but respectful, and if you watch all my breakfast reviews, I always order a French toast as baseline and their French toast was dry.

We were headed up north on the 5 and there was nothing for miles so we took a detour here. Well with it! I got the biscuits and gravy, and my husband got the chili cheese omlett. Both were top notch and what you can only expect from a small town diner. Definitely impressed and would come again

Today's waitress was the worse. She brought my husband something he didn't order then when we told her she tried arguing that is what he wanted she then brushed me off by yelling yeah yeah yeah in front of server all customers. We ate very uncomfortable with a slight touch of loss of appetite. Then when I went to pay I gave her the plate of half sandwich n salad so she knew I wasn't paying for it she grabbed the plate and stated what a waste of food. Ok it wasn't our mistake. Then she took forever to help me pay for my food and after she finally help me turned around handed me my change and stated just to let u know I work on every Wednesday so if u don't like my service don't come back on Wednesdays. Not only did she tell me that but used a hard harsh loud voice so everyone in diner can hear. I sated to her I never in 9 years of dinning there have I had such bad service she continuously kept yelling at me without a care in the world that the diner was filled with customers that didn't need to hear or experience all that. I got my change and told my nephew n grandson let's go outside and wait for pop which is my husband. He proceeded to walk out of restroom and she started shout at him too. I had to go back in to get him . I stayed to him don't waste ur time with her she just was yelling at me to and she was trying to say we were disrespectful lmao.... That is what she was the whole time! Even a customer that was almost done as well shock her head and agreed that the waitress was rude and started up on us. So basically we were attacked and totally disrespected by the young female waitress . Don't know if we will return back anymore there after this and we always recommend 6th Street to everyone! Won't send them there now for that kind of treatment. Hope no one has ever experienced that and doesn't ever have to. The other employees were great. Miss you. That young girl needs to goooooo before you lose...

Came from Fresno to meet a friend coming from Santa Cruz (Los Banos is a halfway point). Prior to coming I had searched for places to meet up and this one came highly recommended. The food was great! Very tasty. Good sized portions too, and reasonably priced. I too, would recommend checking it out. I only gave it 4 stars because the service was VERY slow. After the drive in today's heat, it would've been nice to sit down with a ice cold glass of water...we were seated almost 15 minutes before anyone bothered to acknowledge us and it took another 10 minutes to get water. I will say, they were busy and it seemed they only had 2 people waiting tables...were it a day that I needed to be in and out, I would've probably got up and left without ordering. It was very slow. That being said, I'm glad I stayed because the food was really good...and despite the slow service, it was worth meeting my...

Me and my family discovered this place while here duck hunting. We were looking for a good old fashioned burger and fries, not fast food. Great old fashioned food for a great price. Milkshakes are delicious. We went for dinner one evening and then came back for breakfast the next morning. We had the same waitress from the night before. She was fast, friendly, and checked on us often. Her feet must have been on fire she was working so fast. No wonder she was in good shape with all the running around she did. She wore a black Bebe baseball cap both days. Her breakfast shift coworker however was not pulling her own weight. She was a heavier set lady with brown hair maybe in her 50's. She stayed behind counter talking mostly. We saw her take food out maybe once and refill one coffee. We felt bad for our waitress so made sure we tipped her well and told her what a great job...
