Im really disappointed with the tamales lately, they're super dry. The Owner is getting rid of the chicharrones because they're too expensive from the seller. Boo. And they don't give a damn about their employees unless they dedicated their entire life to her tasty burrito stand and even then the people who have worked there forever are micro-managers, condescending, and seem unhappy. When I told them about my school schedule before they hired me, I was told they would work with me, however when my schedule came up, they were trying to find petty reasons to fire me. Thankfully, I was offered a more fitting position elsewhere so I left. Mary is not a nice person to her employees. She would come into the stores and never even bother to introduce herself or meet the cashiers or rollers. As an employee I figured out who she was from people scurrying in fear of being humiliated by her demeaning criticisms, oh yeah and her huge photo of herself in every store. I love the food, (except the tamales lately) but the owner also doesn't buy everything locally, rather from large distributors, who we all know used pesticides. You would think a local burrito stand would use all local produce and meat. Hope they take this into...
Read moreFirst let me say that the customer service was great and the food was delicious, however I have noticed the increase in prices and coming from Los Angeles many of these items are more than doubled! I grew up in Los Lunas and used to go all the way to Belen to get the breakfast burritos here. I cannot fathom $13 for a chicharron burrito or a ground beef burrito, it is way too much. $14 for three a la carte tacos is exorbitant, and that is what they expect from you for such fare. I believe this is a result of greedflation and I have noticed this is becoming commonplace in this small town. Business owners are free to set their own prices but I urge you to not support business that are becoming way out of touch to the reality of what a reasonable price is.
Again, I have lived in Los Angeles for the past 9 years and paying high price for everyday items is a part of my daily life. But I was taken...
Read moreThe food was delicious but unfortunately the service was as horrible as it gets. The ladies working there not only were rude definitely not friendly at all but they were frustrated and the energy was bad. They were so busy the drive thru had 10 plus cars waiting for ever. We ordered inside and even then it took them for ever to serve us 2 mini burritos. They only had 1 lady making the food and 1 on drive thru and inside cashier. Listen I hate places with bad service makes me never wanna go there again but the food was legit. They need to hire more ppl is what they need to do and need to make sure your cashier stays at cashier to greet and help take orders and have like 3-4 ppl in the line making burritos. I’ll be back when the staff is better. Lady that took our order made me never...
