A Friend and myself went to Los Lunas to Sight-See and Eat. I had seen this ad for OCTOBERFEST-GERMAN Food & Beer and was REALLY looking forward to a BRATWURST and German Beer Lunch as we hadn't eaten and it was about 2pm. Got the Address to this "Bakery-Bistro" and set off to eat. FIRST, this place is well hidden and is actually a part of a larger building with an ADULT RECOVERY CENTER in Front--I'm cippled so my friend went in Front Door of Building and was immediately LOCKED IN w/NO ATTENDANTS or Nurses! Took him 15 min. to find his way out. We eventually found this 'Bistro' around the back and parked in an Inadequate - Small parking area--had to wait for another to leave to park. Went in and were seated. I immediately smelled URINE under table against wall....The food was ordered amidst growing unease in me. While waiting for BRATs, a BIG GROUP came in with small (8 yrs) Children AND a Guitar Player/Singer! It became TOO LOUD for my Friend to talk with me over a SMALL TABLE! Oh, and NO Rest Rooms in the "BISTRO" but a seperate building out back serving everyone in MEDICAL Facility 'round front AND this BISTRO---AWFUL and so hard for a Cripple like me - parking was on GRAVEL and R.R. was in back of THAT!
The Food? Came in 1/2 hr and wasn't Grilled very well--was WHITE with only small Grilling Scoring showing on Brat. No evidence of a BAKERY either! Didn't eat it after small taste--Either of us! Waitress was Nice, but she seemed a bit off....
So, a BAD MEAL, BAD LOCATION, BAD FACILITY.....BAD, BAD, BAD! Worst 'Lunch' experience EVER!!! Los Lunas has NO BAKERY OR German Food Restaurant 'Bistro'!!! I guess we were fortunate in that the BECK's was really cold and we didn't get sick from...
Read moreOh dear lord. What a weird place. It's a nice little place. We walk in and the waitress just looks at us. So we just pick a table. She walks off and waited about 15 minutes before we seen her again. We are the only ones in here. She takes our order and about 45 minutes later they brings out our food. I had the NM Fusion which was a bowl of nasty grease like 4 slices of potatoes and egg with runny whites. The bacon was both charred and undercooked at the same time. I don't know how they managed that. It was awful. My wife got the eggs Benedict medium well steak which was also charred and undercooked. Her egg whites also runny. This place has potential but with the staff that won't speak at all to the grease and charred food. It's not worth it. What a weird disturbing experience this was. I hope I didn't just eat something out of a horror movie because I'm definitely getting those vibes. Then while looking at them in the kitchen to get their attention. She acts like we're not here like she doesnt see...
Read moreCute little bistro near a spa and senior home. The interior is small with a neat blue theme. The food is delicious. The chef mentioned he liked to change the menu often. My husband ordered the Dill Chicken Salad Sandwich, which he enjoyed. It smelled great and my husband mentioned the veggies were very fresh. I ordered the Coq Au Vin. It was beyond expected. The chicken was tasty, the mushrooms, onions, and bacon were yummy. The mashed potatoes tasted good. The chef mentioned the next menu including Rib Eye Burger and Shrimp Scampi. They seem to have holiday and weekly specials. 10/10 recommend for a place unique in the Los Lunas area and different from NM food. If you visit, you will need to order online from your table. I look forward to returning to this bistro next time we're in the area, especially when the nearby rose garden...
