My husband and I come here often and it's really the best place to eat in Louisa. I highly recommend the pizzas- they are amazing! But be prepared to wait 50 minutes (what we waited last night) from the time its ordered to the time you get it. In general, be prepared to wait a while- the service here is not fast, or even a normal pace. I know "good food takes time" but 30+ minutes for an appetizer or 45+ minutes for an entree is slow, and what we experience each time we visit.
The food is good, we always enjoy it. Again, the pizza is our favorite, and my husband usually gets the steak and I usually get something from their specials menu. On Sundays they have a sunday supper menu with to die for cornbread!! It's excellent. Their lasagna on sundays is also delicious! Most of everything we have tried is good, with some things being great. It's kind of hit or semi-hit. Nothing has been a miss, but some dishes weren't quite there. All of the deserts we have tried (they rotate) have always been delicious!
The atmosphere is really nice. Decorations are a little quirky and interesting, but its cozy and nice. We were sitting next to a couple last night who appeared to know all of the staff and were definitely getting special service- nothing wrong with that, but when you service to other guests suffers because of it, I wouldn't think it's ok in that case (at one point our waitress was talking to them, turns around, sets our check on our table without saying a word then turned back around to continue her conversation. It was rude, and other times we were obviously pushed to the side for this other table....) So they may want to seat their special customers away from other guests if they will be receiving much better service.
All in all, we like this place and will continue to go back sometimes. It seems to miss the mark on something every time, but it's usually a decent...
Read moreNormally I would never bother to write a poor review . We had enjoyed coming here for the past five years. The food is constantly good. Service can lag behind at times Unfortunately, it started initially as we walked in and ( 4 dinners) we’re kept waiting 20 minutes to be seated with reservations. Our waitress developed an attitude when I tried to get her attention. She was cleaning the table next to us & no matter how many times I tried to get her attention, she looked down & did not respond until I raised my voice a bit, after 30 minutes of waiting for our drinks. I told her we were still waiting for our.l drinks. She snapped at me , with an attitude & said you can see we are busy. Well she took a bit longer to get our drinks. She finally took our order. Food arrived 37 minutes later. I and my friend ordered the Crab Cakes for $32.00. Well they arrived Brunt Flat Pancakes. My friend was very gracious and peeled back the outside and scraped off what she could and ate what she could I sent my Crab-cakes back and didn’t eat. I refused to reorder. There was no manager available to speak too. I was annoyed by the waitress attitude. I stopped at the bar & asked the names of the owners. I explained my experience & the attitude waitress came over & injected herself and bark at us, that dinner was Comped. I spoke up & stated i had intention of paying fir something burnt & had bit eaten. I explained to the bartender that we have always had a good experience because the food was consistently delicious. She appreciated the comment. I told her I was a professional cook and if one if my servers ever spoke to a customer like had. It would be her last night. I must apologize for the poor & long review. Being waitress/waiter is hard work. The workload can be overwhelming. Maybe this waitress should fine...
Read moreActually I had lunch at Floozies-which is owned by Obrigados. I met a dear friend at 11:30; there were 4 other guests in the restaurant. We were greeted by a young woman behind a counter; she yelled-telling us where to sit-yelled! 😳 We were approached by our server with menus in hand; beverage orders were taken (sweet tea and water w/lemon) we asked what the soup of the day was. Our order was taken-a cup of soup each; with a sandwich and a cheeseburger. Eventually the cheeseburger was served; then my friend's sandwich. We asked about the cups of soup-they weren't ready yet. The cheeseburger has shrunk since my last visit; while it was just okay, it wasn't great. It was served with french fries; which were good. My friend's sandwich was agreeable. The soup was served as I was half finished with my burger. 🙁 The soup was a corn/fish chowder. The soup was tasty but needed a lil spice-maybe Old Bay or tarragon. The guest check total was a little over $30.00! No dessert. A 20% cash gratuity was left; even if the service was less than it should have been. $30 for lunch for 2 is a little...
