Church's Texas Chicken — Restaurant in Louisiana

Least flavorful food I have had in a while. I was very excited to try somewhere other than Popeyes due to Popeyes fkn rude workers who really could care less about providing a service. Anyway, churches chicken tastes like breaded chicken with no seasoning at all. The bread pretty much comes off and you don't get to eat chicken with each bite because of it. You get to eat flavorless chicken skin (if you want to) and then at flavorless not crunchy chicken.

The ocra is also flavorless and not worth getting. They cook it in large batches and it sits under a light that does not keep it hot. But mostly it has no flavor in the seasoning.

The Mac and cheese is probably the worst Mac n cheese of anywhere. The cheese has a cheap fake cheese taste. Nothing more to say about it.

The day I went they did not have sweat tea made. They were not even preparing more. Who buys chicken without sweat tea? How can you notbe preparing more items?

Service was ok. Cashier was mostly nice and no rudeness witnessed toward anyone. So that's the only positive.

I ordered through the website at 8:40pm knowing it would take me 15 minutes to get there. I wanted it ready because I was tired and ready to go home and eat. I had also ordered some white meat (two pieces), and always allow extra time for it. The site told me my estimated time for being ready was 8:55. I got there a minute or two before 9pm. The store was not busy. There was only one order being filled. But, I was told they just dropped the white meat chicken. The whole time, the rest of my order (a ten piece), was sitting on the counter getting cold. I ended up not getting my complete order until 9:18pm. Needless to say, my fries and chicken were cold.

On top of this, the entire store was filthy. Trash on the floors, the bathroom smelled of urine with toilet paper on the floor.

Last night (12/16/24), I was ordering personally, however, I am a gig driver and frequent this store for customers. My experience is not an uncommon occurrence. Often, we are forced to wait an excessive amount of time, even for...

Initially, I went to the churches chicken in Kenner and there was a long line out to the street. I pulled up and parked to enter inside (there was no sign saying the lobby was closed) but the doors were locked. There was an employee sitting there looking straight at me, not acknowledging or giving me any indication as to why I was not able to enter. This location has the rudest employees. I left and went to Metairie location. Our food came quick but when we got in the car and opened it, we noticed that the breasts were all skin, hardly any meat. We took the food back inside and the manager apologized and didn’t give us any problems and stated it would be 15 minutes before some more chicken was ready. After our wait, which was longer than 15 minutes, she gave us extra pieces of chicken, biscuits, and a large side to make up for our inconvenience.
