When I arrived, there was only one other family there of four people, and about 6 or so employees. Coming in I sat in a booth and it was filthy, so was the one next to it. Had crumbs on it and salt, too. The place was not busy at all, the family had their food and my dad and I sat there for about 15 minutes before any server came and took our order. When I did order, I order the All-Star Special (regular waffle, bacon, hash brown, and scrambled eggs). My dad and I waited about another 10 mins, before I even got my waffle. The waffle was burnt, the top layer was falling off, and the signature "Waffle House" logo that was on top was unreadable. I sent it back, apologizing because I'm never picky. At this point, my dad and I hadn't even gotten our drinks. I work at a restaurant myself, and drinks should come ASAP. After getting the burnt waffle, we waited about another 5 minutes and my dad had to remind our server about our drinks. When my All-Star arrived about another 5 mins later, the hash brown was cold around the edges and warm in the middle, I ordered bacon, but they gave me sausage (which looked burnt), and my toast wasn't even warm. Seems like it sat in the toaster for a while before anyone pulled it out. At this point, I was turned off about the idea of eating there and lost my appetite for the food. We waited a bit, because usually servers come up and ask if everything was okay, and no one came. So, my dad had to call out to her, and when she came over, I politely explained what I stated above, so she picked it up stating, " I don't know how it could be 'cold' when it just got off the grill," to be honest, I wouldn't know either, but I said the edges were cold and the middle was warm. She went back to the cook and explained I said it was cold, and I'm not sure who, but I heard one of them remark, "I don't know how hot is cold." My dad and I usually leave tips, but I still don't know why he left...
ย ย ย Read moreI'm batting a 50% at this location. I usually come for lunches and literally get the same thing every time: the egg and sausage hash-brown bowl. Every time I order it I have the same request: no cheese, scrambled eggs DRY and BURNED, I mean seriously burned - no oil/butter and overcooked. This isn't hard. Half the time the eggs are quite undercooked and dripping with butter.
And this is what happened today. Again. However, this time our waitress wasn't too keen on splitting our tickets (something we do every time). We were told that is more difficult. There were two cooks, a man and a woman. The man recognized me and my order (he has made my order correct in the past) but he wasn't who made my eggs today. He even said something to the lady about my eggs, yet they were still wet and undercooked. The waitress saw my look of disgust and did offer to have them remade but as this was my lunch hour and time was limited I picked the eggs out as best I could, ate the remainder of my meal, and went to pay.
The final straw. At the register, the woman wouldn't ring us up separately. We were told it was too hard. Again, this is something my group of four and I have been doing since we started coming here for lunch last December. So I received the honor of paying for everything and having to work it out with my coworkers later.
tl;dr - the number one complain at most restaurants is overcooked food. How is it sooooooo hard to burn my eggs when I ask. It's literally 'set it and...
ย ย ย Read moreI donโt know whatโs happening to Waffle House. My last three experiences have been horrible with last night being just as bad. I entered and was asked if I was ordering to go. I informered her no and she responded youโre going to dine in? Really? What are the other options. I ordered a ham and cheese omelet with a double order of hash browns scattered smothered and crisp. She responded whatโs that? I explained and was informed itโs crispy not crisp. Additionally I ordered a coffee and a side of bacon. Coffee was burnt and cold. I never did receive the bacon. The phone rang the entire time with no one answering it. A lady came in and asked if they were taking phone orders because she was calling. The first waitress tild her the phone didnโt ring. She placed and paid for her order and sat at the counter and called the restaurant from her cell phone and they did not answer. She asked the other waitress if the took phone orders and was informed they do but sometimes they canโt hear with all the noise. Both waitresses wore their mask below their mouth. Management needs to do something. These employees are killing...
