JINYA Ramen Bar is a family favorite and we will be returning. We were on our way to see a movie in Perkins Rowe and had just left Barnes and Nobles when our daughters asked could we stop there because they love noodles. It smelled great and the atmosphere was inviting. We all ordered different things along with appetizers. My daughters like to be adventerous so they tried the octopus and calamari I believe and they enjoyed the texture of it. The drinks for adults are AMAZING and great to sip on before, during and after the meal. I also love that our server was attentive, suggested that we try the cripsy chicken with our Ramen and that it paired well with the taste. The spiciness and homemade taste was what I was looking for and perfect for the time of year we went. My only draw back was that we asked to sit outside, the space was great, but the cigarette smell while we were eating for those who could smoke outside while eating at their table was offputting and reduced the quaility of my meal as I could taste the smell as I was eating and it wasn't the best to have my children around nicotine smells so close to our food. We usually like to sit outside as a family to enjoy the scenery and ambience of fresh air, but having the smell of smoke interferes with the taste of JINYA and my nose is highly affected by any strong smells after having 5 children, and just having my daughters breathe that in so close because the people we were next to a few tables down was smoking them back to back was the only negative part, which is why I still give JINYA 5 stars. It's just sad next time we eat there we will have to choose inside seating to not be near smoking.

On a chilly day, we decided to warm up at Jinya Ramen Bar, and it was a fantastic choice! My meal started with a comforting glass of sake, setting the tone for a great double date with friends. My wife ordered a Lycheetini, and I couldn’t resist trying it—it was incredibly refreshing and well-balanced. For appetizers, we ordered the gyoza and creamy tempura. Both were delicious, though the tempura’s breading wasn’t the traditional style I expected, but still enjoyable. I also tried the pressed shrimp sushi. While it wasn’t my favorite, it wasn’t bad—just a bit different than what I was anticipating. The highlight of the meal was the Tonkotsu Black ramen. It was a flavor explosion—rich, balanced, and absolutely satisfying. I’ll definitely be coming back for that alone! The service was just as impressive as the food. Isabelle, our server, was super friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and even took some great pictures for us. Her warmth and professionalism added an extra layer to the experience. Jinya Ramen Bar is definitely a spot I’d recommend. I can’t wait to go back!

After having some truly authentic Ramen in other places, I have to say that I was pretty disappointed in what this place had to offer. I suppose if you're looking for a flashy, new atmosphere to dine in, it may work. But the Ramen was just ok, the noodles were doughy and left a gross, filmy after taste, and the ground meat was just not good. Even the Gyoza were greasy and chewy. I've had better luck with the dumplings at our local Asian market. The fried cauliflower was probably my favorite part of the meal, but that's not saying much. Add to that the wait staff's limited knowledge about the food they were serving, and the loud yelling the staff did every time someone walks in... I'm not really in a rush to go back. It's definitely not a place I'd take someone to if I wanted them to know what good Ramen tastes like. Think canned, pre-seasoned red beans vs your Mama's homemade dish. This is definitely the greasy, canned version.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the door was the aural assault of that thumping autotune pop house music with sappy yearning-heart themes that has virally invaded almost every public space - but LOUD. Like ear-splitting loud echoing from every hard surface. I asked the server if the music could be turned down a smidge, and she answered that they can't change the volume? Really? As in there's literally no volume control, or the management is so lazy that they don't care about the customer experience? The ramen bowl that I ordered was exactly what I wanted. Not the best I've ever had (Kin New Orleans has that title), but it was good - good until, as I worked through the bowl, I couldn't help but notice how oversalted the broth was. Packaged broth? MSG? Service was passable, but mostly absent. I had to get up to find a check. Would I return? Sure. Maybe. But only with ear plugs.

Our server Michael was awesome! It was pretty packed and it was a Saturday night so that’s to be expected, but he made sure to check on us every 10-15 minutes. Super nice guy and a great server. I recommend this place to anyone who enjoys ramen, the food was amazing (as always) and the portions were absolutely filling; we always have enough left for leftovers and that’s very appreciated. I also love the variety that the kids meal brings. My daughter can be picky, she loves noodles but she’s not fond of very many vegetables and her meal came with a bowl of chicken ramen, chicken nuggets, chicken & rice, French fries and a scoop of ice cream. She always enjoys eating here with us and that’s super important to our family. So all in all, the food was a 5/5, the service was 5/5, and the atmosphere was also 5/5. Highly recommend. (:

My boyfriend and I frequent Jinya A LOT and have never had a bad experience! This time we had the pleasure of being served by Dynesha and her trainee, Dom, who took exceptional care of us, were super friendly, and well versed in the menu items. For an appetizer we usually get the Creamy Spicy Shrimp which, but this time we got the November special: Soy Glazed Wings. 10000/10!! Also, I got the Premium Tonkotsu Red ramen. For this particular entree, you choose a spice level between 1-10. I initially wanted to go with a level 6, but Dynesha recommended a 4 instead and that was PERFECT! I’m glad I trusted her lol. Anyways, def make this part of your lunch/dinner date list. You won’t be disappointed. My only critique is that they are always sold out of the wontons! 😫 makes sense though because they’re so good! Get them if you can!
