We have lunch here and the food is good one of the dishes was a bit salty but good anyway they used too much oil . The salad the nice but oily and i thought was just mine but my partner salad too. The rice is nice but is that rice pre-cooked so its ok, but the flavor was good. The hommus had a weird tease but my friends ate it. My partners dish was good but salty and oily.my dish was chicken and the lady recomend the chicken from the ghyro and was delicious... all the food was pretty good the only thing is the food was oily. But other than that very good and delicious. The waitress was cery nice and friendly. They need to fix the light because was a bit dark but we were satisfied with the food and the services. We recommend this places if you want to try something new.

Kamal's Kafe is a great hidden gem! My husband and I just moved to the area from Houston, and we were hoping to find a restaurant that wasn't fast food or seafood. Kamal's was cozy; the waitstaff were warm and welcoming, and they were very much on top of things. The food is delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed the hummus, the veggies, and the EGGPLANT SPECIAL especially! I've never enjoyed anything quite like the eggplant special--it has a Cajun flair with little shrimp on top. It is a must-try. We also spoke to the owner, who was very funny and friendly. We enjoyed being able to see the chefs working diligently in the back as well. We are so glad to have this food option in our new town. We will be back soon!

A true diamond in the rough!! This was hands down some of the best middle eastern cuisine I've enjoyed in a long time (if ever). We just came back From a trip to Houston in which we sampled some of their fare. Kamal's was without a doubt an amazing experience. The shawarma was so tender! The gyro meat was absolutely delicious. The baba and hummus were spectacular. Everything was so good!!! I highly, highly recommend this local gem. It is worth the drive from anywhere you may be!

A big disappointment. My wife and I try to stop in here during my drive along Hwy 61 heading to Baton Rouge once a quarter. We have always enjoyed the Med food before and have dinner here at least 6-8 times before.

We arrive after 8 and we were surprised that there was only one other family there. I ordered a Fried Kibbeh appertizer and was appalled that it only had one pine nut inside. I dissected it and there was only one...what gives with the stinginess on pine nuts? The Eggplant with Crawfish was disappointing. It was runny and fairly bland. My wife had ordered a Gyro meal and found it was also bland and short on seasonings. To compound our disappointing meal, the two waitresses were seated in their coats watching us finish our meal. We were very uncomfortable now realizing that it was going on 9 and that 9 must be the closing time that it was time to go according to the staff. We left and will definitely make this...

I used to enjoy going to eat here. A few months back, after rebuilding from the flood, I went with a friend. The owner came in and was cursing some of the staff out. I thought it was awful, but being in management, I understand how hard it is to get good help. He could have done it discreetly, but he didn't. Then a few weeks ago I went in with my husband. We had just been seated when again, the owner came through cursing staff out. The poor young lady was being called names and was almost in tears. What kind of owner does this? He wasn't just using normal curse words ... he was dropping the F-bomb and using MF in every sentence. We left. Btw ... we went to Albasha. The food was sooo much better and the atmosphere was so pleasant. Please stay away from Kamal's. No one should treat anyone like that... much less a...
