Rosewater Grill & Tavern — Restaurant in Louisiana

Update as of 2025. Still as good as ever! Been here many many times over the years. The food is outstanding at the Rosewater!! I've had almost everything on the current menu... Recommendations... Seafood Gumbo is fantastic; Louisiana Catfish on the menu is really good as well; Salmon is fantastic as well which I'm eating tonight; NY Strip I had last time I was here was one of the best steaks I've had in a long time; Rosewater Loaded Chicken is really outstanding as well. Tavern Burger is the only item I wasn't crazy about on the menu... That being said I don't generally eat burgers. If you dine here be sure to grab a side of the home-made potato chips here, they are great! Staff here is fantastic as well! Bartender makes the best mojitos! Manager and head chef deserve props for making this place awesome! While staying at the Ray hotel had the opportunity to enjoy the rooftop amenities. I’ve been going there on vacation for over the last few years, and it’s always a great vibe and great people. The staff is always on their A game. My next to last day at the RAY hotel we had found a metal fastener of some sort in the ice in our drink at the pool, and told the manager. He took the time to go and research where it came from to make sure it wasn’t gonna happen again. He found us, and showed us a picture where the bolt came from which was the ice machine to make us feel comfortable getting more drinks. And then he said come tomorrow or the next day and I’ll take care of you. This was William Armstrong (the G.M.) who said ,” don’t worry I got you “and sure enough he did, and he comped all our drinks the next day. Just wanted to mention the above and...

Shay Barrington -- what can I say. She is at the top of her game at the bar at The Rosewater Grill at Delta Downs. An amazing employee who makes everyone feel comfortable. She knows my name and always is ready to pour a glass of Cabernet for me as soon as I sit down. I know she makes everyone of her customers feel like they are special.
