The Palms Too — Restaurant in Louisiana

I've been on the fence about this review, but a meme I just watched pushed me. I have frequented this establishment often and while the food is decent, the ambience is nice, and the staff as well there is this one waitress, that on multiple occasions I have seen blowing her nose, digging in it with tissue, while continuing to roll silver and serve patrons without washing her hands, I know her name, but I won't say her name cause I have always thought she was nice, despite. Today my husband and I go in, with the already notion that we was going to leave if she happened to be our server, and she was🙄. Upon politely leaving she had the nerve to say "owe yall saw them prices hun." I politely informed her that we had been there on multiple occasions and that she had indeed been our waitress at some point. She responded "oh, well did I do something wrong." I didn't have the heart to tell her the truth, and just said no and left, but I kind of hope she see this, she's a little older so she might not, but even though her comment was off putting its not meant for malicious intent, just for her awareness and...

Shrimp Tacossss!!!! Are the best I ever Had. The customer service is very very Very not people of color welcoming. I was there on a Sunday during football season the Saints were playing there was a larger group of People of Color enjoying a dinner party. I witnessed the waitress take 100 bill and inspect it like it was monopoly money she passed it around to her co-workers went up to the Casnio area and I assumed she went to use the Pen. From my view she did this with no customers sitting around thr Bar who were 90% Whites. My waitress was also racist she yelled at us because I assumed we asked to many questions about the menu...when I say yelled the nice nasty way she did answer the questions her voice went from 13-68 and she was annoyed. I'm not revisiting and I only tipped the young man who brought me lemons...not the waitress who served my table.....People of color they don't trust our hard earned...

When I first Visited here the food was amazing, I had the red beans and rice with a smoked sausage, the red beans gave a real Southern flavor but more watery than I like…my husband had Salmon! On our second visit the food was Average, husband again had Salmon so it’s safe to say that left an impression, (I don’t eat fish so I cannot give a review) I had the 1/2 rack ribs and they were not the absolute best I’ve tasted but they were edible, they offer two flavors I had BBQ…the sides are kinda pricey for the flavor…the Mac and cheese definitely needs some salt and pepper to taste and was OVERLY GREASY…the mashed potatoes had a different taste that had to grow on me but overall they were good, broccoli and cheese is just that 🥦& 🧀 the sweet tea is amazing, customer service kinda dry but the food was prompt…we also had oysters for an appetizer they...
