Waffle House — Restaurant in Louisiana

The Waffle House on 148 Wells Road in West Monroe, Louisiana is so great. The Chef, not just a cook his Name is Billy and there's Summer I consider her the best Hostess ever. Talk about friendly kind people. Now Billy has a photo memory. They greeted each and every customer by name with Mr or Miss or misses. Here is my story I got stuck in Monroe, grayhound lost my luggage. As I sat on the on ramp of 1-20 after being told by truck stop I had to leave their property. I walk across the bridge sat on a curb, distrort. A car pulled up see that Waffle House go in ask for Billy tell him Dillon said let you sit get warm. Well I did. I was greeted by Summer good morning Sir you'd like something to drink, water please yes Sir. Are you alright, yes just tired. Where You going, Oregon, long way, I'll see what I can do. I slipped out unnoticed. Had to come back later walked in asked to use their facility, you go right ahead, Sir you had anything to eat today, no, after you use the restroom you come on sit down order some breakfast, don't worry I'm buying. She and Billy gave me a new look into the 💓 of human kind. There's a kindred Spirit there you'll have to no you must pay them a visit. Remind them of the older black gentleman they cared for. And maybe no you'll see what I saw. The grace of God that lives there. And give them what they so graciously give. But tip them handsomely. Because they're in need. Good night and...

You owe it to yourself to treat yourself to a good breakfast in a fun, friendly, and clean place; actually the best and cleanest Waffle House I have ever been in, ate at, or visited! My parents and I were coming back through Monroe on westbound I20 and ended up at this Waffle House by mistake because McDonald's dine in was closed because of Covid-19, so we went next store to The Waffle House! From the time we entered this very clean Waffle House to the time we left; we felt welcomed by the whole staff! As soon as we walked in everyone said good morning and spoke to us! Not only was the restaurant itself clean, but so were the restrooms! Jennifer and Michelle were great to deal with! Michelle waited on us and did an awesome job! I've been eating here for years. Has a mostly blue collar / older clientele. You'll see the occasional dead bug on the floor and window sill being used as a cigarette holder. But more often than not, the table isn't sticky and you'll get great food with great service. At 2am, there won't be fighting rings, beer bowling, or drag racing in the parking lot, but it'll still have that 2am otherworldly Waffle House vibe to it. Occassionally, you'll even get to overhear the staff drama, which is far better than any conversational topics I ususally walk into the place with.
