Waffle House — Restaurant in Louisiana

Waiter was polite but said bare minimum. In fact no employee hardly spoke at all. Spouses order was wrong but it was quickly resolved. My daughter and I ordered the beef steak hash brown bowl and my spouse ordered a hamburger with a side of hash browns. His burger came out with cheese, but was remade. All our hash browns, though cooked hard and crispy in many places, were actually very good with the toppings. My husband softened them with ketchup. Observations: I am only posting what I saw cuz different states have different rules and not sure what is acceptable for Louisiana. Two jugs of waffle syrup were stored on the floor, along side a metal wired cart on wheels. There was a square metal pan synched to hang off the side, right over the top of the syrup that was constantly dripping what looked to be used sanitizer water with a dirty towel sticking out. It was literally dripping directly on the lid of one of the syrups. Next to that was a spray cleaner hanging by its handle. On this same cart was silver ware for customer use. Service here today was horrendous. I guess everybody was mad because they had to be at work today or because they chose to work at waffle House, but everybody’s attitude was nasty. I was not greeted when I came in. I asked for well done pork chops not well seasoned and well done just well done. My pork chops were dry, burnt and overly seasoned with salt. My order was rushed out to me with the attitude. I asked them to remake my order, meaning my pork chops it was nothing but attitude after that when my pork chops were finished cooking my to go Tray was slammed to me and the waitress walked off. They are so rude. It is not my fault that y’all chose to work at waffle House, and make a career out of waffle House. Don’t take that out on me very unprofessional, but I mean, what can you expect from someone who’s working at waffle House? Never been treated poorly like we were when we stopped here , we came in no one even greeted us , or spoke until I asked for a menu, after that the waitress said your going to be here a while we are busy . I counted 5 people which is fine we were in no hurry we were traveling thru picking up our daughter on Christmas Eve to go home , for 25 minutes I watched the blonde have a full conversation with a costumer while we waited , apparently they were friends , for another 25 minutes watched as they just kept walking by not asking if we were ok , did we want something to drink while we wait nothing just ignored . After 45 minutes we walked out without ordering,while we were leaving most of the staff were outside smoking , I hope they atleast washed their hands .
