Lots of TV screens, such that there isn't anywhere to sit without seeing one based upon my table location. Went in with a group and normally don't ask for separate checks, but the dynamic of the group required it. They have wines ready by the glass, it took a little bit of time for me to get a bottle of what I requested because there wasn't a key on their POS system for such requests. Service was decent, perhaps a little room for improvement, but not complaining. A little more observation and forethought would've been great, however it was attentive enough. The waitress didn't hear my request for the sweet potato fries, and upon bringing it to her attention was more than willing to correct, but I was fine with what was served. I was pleased to see a non-meat option, which was a black bean burger, which was decent. I'd order again, and happy to see a whole wheat option for the bread. The group I was with had made the decision to go here, and I would join them again in the future should the decision be made to go. Not the type of place I would typically go to on my own, but I was pleasently surprised. I'm not a sports bar person, but can recognize it's appeal to those who want that. We arrived after 8:30p, and it was a touch raccous upon arrival, but I guess as other guests left, it quieted down. Our group was more into visiting than the sports. A place good for those looking for what they offered,...
Read moreWe were passing through and met some family here for dinner.
I enjoyed the atmosphere a lot. Big TV'S everywhere and lots of options to watch.
The menu was pretty large, but you know me, I got a burger. I got the bacon bbq burger with fries. My cousin had the gumbo, and my spouse had the shrimp.
In my opinion, it took a little long to get our food for as slow as they were. The place is fairly large and the lady waiting on our table could have had more tables I another area. My suggestion for her. I tip on my drink status. If I have to ask you to get me a refill, you are missing a big part of your job. Anticipat what your customer needs or ask when they are half full.
I tasted the gumbo when they brought it out, and it was amazing. The flavor in the broth was out of this world. My spouse said the shrimp were great.
The burger was great. The onion rings on top, added another texture, and helped bring everything to the next level. The bbq sauce was outstanding. Not too much, and it had a little kick to it. The only thing I didn't like was the bun on the bottom got soggy after two bites.
The fries were the downfall. They were cold and unseasoned. It's not hard to send out seasoned good food. Saving money by using a product that has been sitting isn't good business. I would rather wait a little bit longer for fresh food than get cold,...
Read moreBeen here a few times since opening & I can say service isn't the same. When I first sat at the bar, I noticed 2 bartenders/waitresses. 1 was standing on the opposite side of the bar & the other was talking to guest on the side of me. Neither one acknowledged my presence at the bar. About 5-10 minutes later, the bartender tending to the guest on the side of me asked if I needed anything. She served me then walked away continuing speaking to the guest on the side of me and didn't ask if u wanted to place an order or check on me a few minutes after serving me a drink. 10-15 minutes later she asked if I needed anything. I placed an order then she checked on me about 30 minutes later. At least it feels like 30 minutes later. She stated she was going to check on my order which usually takes about 15 minutes to serve. I received my order 10 minutes later and it's Luke warm. Not hot! I'm by myself & only ordered a burger with sweet potato fries and frozen drinks. There are not that many ppl sitting at the bar and the "ignoring the customer" don't sit well with me. I'm a big tipper but I don't think these ladies deserve a tip at all when it's what they are suppose to be working towards "customer service" equals good tips. I still tipped out of the kindness of my heart; more than recommended on receipt. Just don't think I'll be...
