I Had heard various complaints from previous workers about poor management at this location in the past. I felt the under-staffing and verbal abuse problems needed investigating, because I was told the previous abusive managers had been fired. To my dismay, that was incorrect. I feel strong sympathy for any future workers who must face the extreme verbal harassment put in place by the manager at this location. I went in for an open Interview and was hired immediately. The corporate hiring manager was very friendly and it was clear he was well qualified for his job. Upon my first day, I started with 2 other people. Both employees were put on drive thru and cashier and were given no training to learn the menus. Neither worker had anyone working to help them, as well as they were both put down and constantly insulted for their lack of training. The manager used words such as "mentally slow" ,"retarded", "stupid", "incompetent", etc. From a psychological standpoint a worker cannot thrive in the workplace if they are constantly put down. There is not a wonder in my mind as to why this under-staffing issue persists. Aside from the employees I counted verbal abuse toward 7 customers in the 2 days that I was there. The manager appeared to have no regard for the well being of her customers or her employees and exemplified this by disregarding customer complaints, insulting customers, and disregarding public health and safety standards. At one point she left a half smoked cigarette on the drive thru counter, and told me to "not worry about that" when I asked about the bugs in the kitchen, the food that had not been prepared up to FDA standards, and the cigarette that she tried to leave there. My first day I was helping train the employees while she was using the company phone to talk to someone about resolving her issues with her car. The woman was very Unprofessional and I have never seen a work environment where employees are abused as much as they were there. I also asked about why we do certain things involving the health code where I was told "we only worry about that when the representative is here." When i left the job i was followed by 3 unhappy customers who all wanted to speak to a corporate worker. Sadly I did not have the number to provide. What indicated it was a management problem to me was when the evening shift manager showed up with a full crew that was ready to work. The manager was friendly and very professional for the evening shift, and there's no wonder there is such a contrast between the morning and evening shifts. After leaving the job i called acting as a customer. I told the manager i had seen lots of verbal abuse from an employee and asked for their name. I was on the phone with the abusive manager. She then told me the name of one of the new workers and expected me to report that name to corporate. I told her that the fact that she was lying would be in my report too. The customer service was outrageous and inconsiderate.. My overall experience was disgusting and I hope to never be exposed to such a hostile work environment...
Read moreI ordered a burger by a mobile app. I went to Burger King store at 9434 Preston Highway, Louisville, KY to pick it up and I already paid for it. But, at the window of Drive-thru, an employee said my order was not ordered to that store and an address that app was showing is not their store address (Actually it was right), and then she said to me going up to another Burger King store which was located at a different place. So, I went to the another store, the employee instructed to me, to pick it up. When I arrived there they said they even did not start Mobile order. Wow.... So, I came back to work, and I googled the address which app was showing. The first store I visited was the right place. They (9434 Preston Highway) made me waste all my lunch time on a road, and even they charged me. I did not get lunch today. A maneger of the Burger King must check the store information and instruct the store information and how to handle mobile order rightly to emplyees. A google address of the store is currect, but their address on a receipt is wrong. I ordered to them and I attempted to pick it up at the right place. But, after they checked my order (even they did not know how to deal with Mobile Order), they said to me address on app was not their address. They said 9434 Preston Highway is not their address, and they said their address is 9512 Preston Highway. They even did not know what was their address. So, They instructed me wrong place...I wasted all my lunch...
Read moreI would just like to say that this is the WORST Burger King I have ever been to. We ordered a spicy wrap with just chicken lettuce and cheese and a burger with bacon cheese and onion along with other items. Neither of those were correct and we politely asked them to get us our correct items and asked them to take both the wrap and burger back because we would not eat them. During that period 3 different people come out to our car asking the situation. Two ladies who were very polite about the situation and a man who was extremely nasty and rude! They brought out a replacement wrap and when I bit into it it was also wrong and had sauce and wasn’t spicy and we let them know. After waiting a good period of time after that they brought a bag with the correct burger and other food items that we never ordered. So we went back around through the drive through and explained there was still no correct wrap. The man yelled through the drive through telling us because I took a bite it was correct and that we could not get a replacement and started getting out of control arguing and saying crazy things. He was extremely nasty and rude once again and made me feel unsafe so we left not knowing how much worse he would make the situation. Just because someone bites into their food and finds out it’s wrong doesn’t mean it’s “ the correct food because you took a bite”. This type of behavior is ridiculous and definitely very unprofessional. That man should not have a job,...
