Kayrouz Delicatessen isn't just good – it's exceptional. Stepping into this establishment feels like stepping back in time to a cherished era of old-school delis, where sandwiches were crafted with love and portions were as generous as the memories they evoke.
My recent visit had me trying the Hash the Corn sandwich, and let me tell you, it was an experience I won't soon forget. Each bite was a symphony of flavors, showcasing the dedication and care that goes into every dish. And while I'm now craving that particular sandwich, I have no doubt that the same could be said for any item on the menu.
But it's not just the sandwiches that steal the show at Kayrouz Delicatessen; it's the sides that truly complete the culinary experience. Whether it's the perfectly prepared German potato salad, coleslaw or pasta salad, each side dish serves as the ultimate complement to the heartfelt sandwiches, elevating the meal to new heights of satisfaction.
Do yourself a favor and make a trip to Kayrouz Delicatessen – you won't be disappointed. From the moment you walk in, you'll be greeted with warmth and hospitality, setting the stage for a truly memorable dining experience. I, for one, will be returning soon and often, eager to indulge in the delicious...
Read moreFirst time visit. Wonderful cold cut Italian, let me sub mortadella for salami, perfectly seasoned o&v dressed arugula tomato mozzarella topper in crispy lightly größtes baguette w thick cut cross cut crispy dill slices and side of American potato salad. Generous amount of cold cuts on Sammie - could have been a mite more generous with the cheese as it was cubed and sparingly used. The potato salad was almost perfect which is hard to do on a mass produced basis. Some of the potatoes were way too hard; otherwise, the flavor was absolutely delicious.
The young and smiling ( and only server in the establishement) was friendly and patient while I deliberated over the menu and asked questions about daily selections. I would have enjoyed a refill on my drink but again he was busy with other diners.
I did observe that other diners appeared to be enjoying their meals as much I did mine! No crumbs left in any plates!!!
The interior is rustic meets industrial and very relaxed. Perfect.
I would definitely recommend this establishment to anyone wanting a quality deli in Louisville. They also offer daily in house cheesecakes! Today was Oreo. I’m too satiated with my huge Sammie but I’ll...
Read moreEasily one of the best sandwich shops in town, definitely our favorite in the Frankfort Ave area near Clifton/St. Matthews. So far we've tried the regular reuben, portobello reuben, the burger, and a few of their variations on the club and every experience has been amazing. I generally find the sandwiches to be big enough that I can only comfortably eat half, saving the other half for either tomorrow's lunch ... or a late night snack.
The service is always friendly and welcoming, and the ambience has a nice "you're at home" feel to it. The atmosphere is low key - conversations are easy without yelling, and the dining area is spacious enough that my wife and I can comfortably converse without feeling like we're imposing on our table neighbors and vice versa.
Kayrouz Deli is truly a neighborhood gem and well worth becoming the regular go to for quality sandwiches and burgers. Their beer prices are great compared to other places, and they run daily specials ... Monday is always the $10 burger special, which is almost criminally low for what you get. Highly...
