Came here tonight with my sister. The salsa with the chips was great. The carnitas were too salty and had half left over b/c I had to balance out the sodium with the rest of the plate. It's hard to down just eating the carnitas by themself. We ordered a side order of Mexican Style Corn and Zuchinni which was priced at 3.95. Our bill showed it for 5.95. Afterwards, our server communicated to us that menu pricing was edited in the system and not on the menus. I addressed this with the Manager, that we don't mind paying, but it is false advertisement to offer a menu item at the time of ordering for a lower price than what we were charged for. Apparently, there is an Appetizer version that we were charged for and instead of accepting responsibility for the error, she shifted the blame onto her server as inputting it in incorrectly and smirked at the employee. Our server is not at fault here, regardless if it was put in the system incorrectly or not. Why would you make system changes to prices that are higher than what is printed on the menus given to patrons? A manager would be responsible for training and educating their servers to communicate all price changes on the menu at the time of ordering. We ordered no appetizers and our side of corn and zuchinni came out with our entree's. So somewhere in your system is incorrect b/c your food runner didn't bring any appetizers to our table. This is a management problem that didn't execute changes properly. There isn't even a side option of this on the website menu and apparently in their systems, but it's still on the printed menu as an option and was brought out as a side. We didn't like how this situation was handled tonight and at no way is this a fault of our Server. The manager on duty needs to do better about handling her duties and ensuring the rest of the staff executes and communicate changes. As well as keeping her smirks in check because her body language indicated that she knows what she's doing, when in fact, made her look unprofessional in front of patrons. We will not be returning, even though we had discussed about trying the simpler options on the menu to give you a second chance of keeping our interests. We don't spend our money at places that have no respect for their employees. Here's a professional tip for your Manager on Duty. Go to the table to handle all discrepancies, we shouldn't have asked to see you this evening. Not once did you even walk around to all the tables to ensure everyone was enjoying their meal this evening. If this is your chosen career path, I suggest you go eat out more and pay attention to how managers at other restaurants properly do what is expected from a manager on duty at a restaurant. Treat the people you oversee better, because your body language...
Read moreThey are "under new ownership" apparently, and that's not a good thing. I had been int here a few times and enjoyed my food. The service was OK previously too. Now it's awful. The food I ordered was not what I got. Didn't even resemble what the menu said. The salsa was frozen solid. No, not just a little bit of ice in it, FROZEN SOLID. It got takeout, and called the restaurant to let them know. The manager immediately got an attitude with me. He didn't ask what was wrong, he didn't listen, just went straight to attitude. I asked for a refund, and he tried to claim I had to go to the site to get that. WHAT?! When I finally got him to listen, he put me on hold and came back offering a refund, but still had attitude. Long story short, don't bother. This place started off well when it first opened, but the new management doesn't know a thing about customer service. As for the refund, rather than waste my time going back, I just disputed the charge and I'll let them deal with it that way. I recommend you avoid this place.
*Update: If you notice, there are several reviews with little or no comments. Likely owners/employees. There's a theme to the one star comments....the people. The manager is rude and doesn't know how to run a restaurant. Another sign the reviews aren't factual.....the parking lot. I live within 2 miles and pass several times a day. Weekday and weekend. The vast majority of time the parking lot is empty. If the food/service was so good, the lot would be packed. ...
Read moreWent to pick up an online order, and the female and the male in the front of the restaurant looked at me without saying a word, so I went up and politely advised that I had placed a carryout order, and gave my name, then the female rolled her eyes at me, this was the second time she did that.
Also, went into the restaurant another time, and the bartender came to take our drink order in Spanish. She assumed I speak it because I am brown … my ancestors are Spanish, Italian and Native American, and and I know very little Spanish, since myself, my parents, my grandparents and my great grandparents were born in the U.S. When I responded in English, she got frustrated and walked away.
I got tired of dealing with their prejudice, so I asked them to cancel my order. They refused to speak to me in English, so I had to call a Spanish speaker to translate. They kept telling me I had to go through the app to get my refund, but I ordered through their website so there was no way to cancel. I asked for a manager, but was told there wasn’t one, even when I called back the next day. I ended up having to file a complaint with my credit card company to get my money back.
I have always been very nice, so there was no reason to be rude to me. An apology would have been nice due to the way I was treated, but I...
