"Step into Miami Fusion Cafe, where culinary chaos meets a fusion frenzy! From the moment you enter, you're greeted by a cacophony of flavors, each vying for attention like contestants in a culinary cage match.
Let's start with the ambiance: it's like Miami threw up in here, in the best way possible. Neon lights clash with tropical prints, while salsa music competes with reggaeton for dominance. It's a sensory overload that would make even the most seasoned Miami locals question if they're still in the 305.
Now, onto the menu, or should I say, the culinary rollercoaster ride. Ever wanted to try sushi burritos topped with plantain chips and a side of kimchi empanadas? Look no further. Miami Fusion Cafe takes culinary risks that would make Gordon Ramsay do a double-take. And while some dishes might leave you scratching your head (was that a hint of jerk seasoning in my ramen?), others will pleasantly surprise you with their boldness.
Service-wise, it's a mixed bag. Sure, the staff are friendly, but trying to decipher their Spanglish-laden descriptions of the dishes can feel like navigating a linguistic minefield. But hey, at least they're enthusiastic, even if they did accidentally bring me a cafecito instead of a cortadito.
In conclusion, Miami Fusion Cafe is not for the faint of heart. It's a wild ride through the gastronomic landscape of Miami, where culinary boundaries are shattered, and taste buds are taken on a journey they won't soon forget. So, if you're feeling adventurous and have a strong stomach (both literally and figuratively), buckle up and prepare for a dining experience...
Read moreA piece of Miami right in Lowell… makes me miss living in FL. We happened upon this gem on the Gaston Eats Facebook page and now, it will most definitely be a regular haunt.
The atmosphere is light and fun. Everything is bright and clean. We were greeted by a very pleasant hostess and our server, Arianna was an absolute delight. She made us feel right at home and even helped me make up my mind on what to have. The menu is a veritable tour of Cuban specialties, not to mention daily specials, so it was no wonder I couldn’t make up my mind but Arianna was instrumental in helping me decide.
While we waited for our dinner, Arianna brought us some croquettes that were mouthwatering. The manager, Juan Carlos, came around to greet us and make sure that we were happy.
I had the red snapper special with yellow rice and maduros. It was incredible. The spices were perfectly done but honestly, the yellow rice absolutely stole the show. Normally, rice is really more of a garnish that I have a few bites of but this rice…. This rice was hands down the best yellow rice I’ve had since actual Miami, and maybe even most places there. My husband had the Frita burger and was blown away.
I can’t say enough nice things about MFC. They made a HUGE first impression and I’m already contemplating the drive over there in the morning for some cafe con leche. There are just so many things we need to try,...
Read moreWhen I saw this driving home one day I was excited. After my dinner today I was very disappointed. Sierra/ciara was amazing and the only good thing about the place. Her personality was bubbly, playful and awesome. It was dead silent. The music was so low it was a whisper. Funerals have more energy. I’m Puerto Rican and when I see mami fusion café I think of salsa playing and flavor! Vibrancy and fun. It was the complete opposite. I ordered beef empanadas for me and my husband. They were pretty small but okay seasoning wise. The dough tasted a little like old fryer oil. I ordered ropa veja that came with jasmine rice and black beans. The ropa veja was so salty and tasted exactly like the empanadas. But with 3x the salt. It seemed old because it was crusted around the dish. The black beans were meh salty and low flavor. $19.95 for a cup of rice a cup of beans and a cup of ropa veja. Not worth it. My husband got the nicaraguan tostone burger. He is white but had traditional Puerto Rican and Cuban food before so he was just as excited . He stated the tostones were soggy and not fried enough, and, the burger wasn’t seasoned and for him nothing was salted. His burger $13.95 and didn’t come with a side. This is highly disappointing. $50 without the tip is wild. Was hoping to get some good food but will keep looking. Update as of 9/20 I have...
