George's Delicatessen — Restaurant in Lowell

I haven’t been there in almost a year they make the best food and reasonable they all went up in prices but they don’t skimp on. the quantity and quality of food always pleasant staff I ask many questions and they never show that they r annoyed tonight I had a large pepper steak OMG tasty and not loaded with salt bread soft also had haddock dinner sung with salad and beer battered onion rings they make thier own salad dressing OMG mmmgood everything was just as good as before void or better and reasonable. I eat out 3 x a week at least very picky this fish ( first time having the fis) as I tend to stick with the salad or subs but my neigh told me how goo it is I normally don’t eat fried fish but I’m a bake or broil but let me tell you OMG it was like a fluffy beer batter so sweet cooked to perfection juicy this is too kind I know but this little place could be a gold mine one time a couple of years back I got some that was overcooked when I called no questions went back gave money back and gave me 20 worth of food thank you and it’s my once a week place for a while I know this is too long but I wanted to tell others about the little hole in wall God bless...

I hate to do this to them because the owners are nice and the place is very clean but people should know what they'll get for their hard earned $14, a really low quality cheesesteak very skimpy on anything other than the meat. It is without a doubt the meatiest cheese steak I have ever had, and I once had 26 cheesesteaks in Philadelphia. But you are just getting a large amount of dry and stringy and poorly seasoned meat that tastes like liver, obviously quite low quality. And they put so little cheese on i literally thought they had forgotten to put it on. They were nice enough to give me another one with "extra" cheese. This had more cheese but they don't even know how to properly melt it and distribute it, it was in nasty gobs at the bottom of the meat. And any other toppings you get are so skimpy in proportion to the meat you hardly know they're there. Really a bad cheesesteak, I think they're coasting on...

I had a quick break in between work locations and needed to eat. I picked what seemed like a locally owned mom and pop sub shop(never fails😉). The staff was quick to take my order and everyone was friendly. While I sat and waited a young gentleman with special needs came in to order. He was welcomed with a smile and who I think was an owner was incredibly patient with him. My food was done within 15 minutes and piping hot. My only complaint was there wasn't a utensil or ketchup in the bag haha It's tricky eating in the go. Overall great experience...
