Peeps Diner — Restaurant in Lower Salford Township

I know there is a lot of good reviews on here, but I guess I'm going to have to be that person... when we walked in we didn't know if we seated ourselves or if someone seated us, and after standing there for a little looking confused, someone seated us. The waitress we had really wasn't the friendliest or the most talkative, but was fine when talking to the hostess at the hostess stand. And there was only 3 tables being served including us. So they weren't busy at all. The food was good, and it was nice and hot, but there was a couple questions about the pricing of things. One person got a vegetable omelet (which they don't even offer on the menu) with NO toast and NO homefries. Another person got an omelet with NO toast and NO homefries. And I had the S.O.S. Instead of taking money off for the toast and home fries, they had to pay full price. Which, okay fine, whatever. BUT here is when the issue came in. The person who had the vegetable omelet was charged $0.75 per vegetable in the omelet!!! They didn't even get homefries or toast. So they had to pay full price for the meal, plus an extra $0.75 per omelet. And that is the very first restaurant we have ever been to that does no offer a vegetable omelet. For 3 of us the breakfast was almost $70!! And we got NO refills on drinks and nothing extra. The last restaurant we went to with 5 of us for breakfast, our bill was $75. And that was 5 people, not 3. So I honestly can't say if we will go again which stinks cause I was so excited to try...

This place had a 4.8 star rating, which encouraged me to try it out. In no way would I ever want to hurt a small, local business, but I'm leaving this review to share my less-than-positive experience about this restaurant.

It's tiny in there, to the point of claustrophobic. The seating arrangement means that you're almost sitting on top of the people next to you at the tables. Just something to keep in mind. I do like small cafés, but the layout of this one wasn't comfortable.

I ordered one of their skillets. The picture on the menu showed a dish in a skillet. Anytime I've ever ordered a skillet....it comes in a skillet. Except this time. I was served a standard plate that contained shredded hashbrowns with a miniscule amount of toppings. I'm not exaggerating when I say the plate was 80% potatoes. They didn't taste like much of anything. I asked for white toast, they gave me wheat.

That being said, the coffee was pretty good and the service was, too.

Maybe if you live five minutes from here and can walk it, cool, but otherwise, there are a plethora of other, better options to be had in the...

A cozy, comfortable restaurant with excellent food, more than reasonable prices, fantastic service, and friendly staff.

Peeps Diner is definitely going on my regular visit list. Each time I've visited, the service and food were excellent beyond expectation. The menu has many different choices and options; it's easy to try something new or go for a good favorite. We had the opportunity to meet the owner, Michael, who is super friendly and a welcoming person! He made sure everyone in the restaurant was taken care of.

I'm more than happy to support a family business that has incredible food and even more amazing people. We'll definitely be back...
