Juan's Marketplace — Restaurant in Loxahatchee Groves

Recently moved to Florida and this has been the worst place I have visited by far. THE WORST SERVICE ever. The server did not wite anything down and all our orders were messed up and items were missing. We had to remind him several times that the drinks were still missing too. The food was served cold and we were the only table at the restaurant. The worst part of all is that we were only three adults on the table and charged us the big party extra fee and when we asked why the served was confussed and called his boss, who was a blonde lady who was extremely, I repeat EXTREMELY rude and basically said we were stupid. At the end she removed the big party fee because duh! But I still have nighmares about that day, it was terrible. Also, I was so excited to take my son to the play area which is supposed to be awesome but the swings were broken, the floor was ripped making it a trip hazard and everything in general looked old. Florida does not have the greatest service at restaurants or stores but JUAN'S MARKETPLACE is the WORST. Please don't ruin your day...

We found this place on a social media post and it looked cute to bring our kids here. We arrived for dinner and it looked good walking in. We were not greeted and I had to walk to the bar to find out if we just seat ourselves or wait to be seated? I was told just to sit and a server will come by. This is fine, but please have a sign up and remove the hostess stand. We ordered a couple simple cocktails and they were terrible. The chicken salad was average. The burgers tasted and felt like they were from frozen patties. This is all fine if we spent $50-60 for the meal but it was $100 for 2 adults and 2 kids whole shared a meal. There were loose kids running around the playground who also rearrange the furniture nearby to lounge. There were dead leaves all over the uncovered seating area.

I get it. It’s a restaurant within a community and the residents know how this place works. But, it is open to the public.

I take my time to write these reviews hoping management would read them and improve.

Horrible customer service!….WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

I usually don’t right bad reviews but today was such a bad experience I had to so others don’t waste their valuable time like we did.

We made a reservation hours ahead of time and still had no table when we arrived. On top of that we waited at the front to be seated for 20 mins without being greeted by the staff or even acknowledged. Once we saw the staff were making eye contact but not coming over we went to ask how long the wait would be only to receive an extremely dismissive rude response not worth repeating.

This would have been our first time eating here so maybe they already have enough customers and aim to make newcomers feel unwelcome if so mission accomplished. We won’t be returning.
