I highly recommend Stallion's 3-course Summer menu. (Not sure of the dates or other specific details - check website). You get to pick one appetizer, one entree, and one dessert for $59 per person (exclusive of beverages, tax, and tip). We were amazed how many choices on the menu were included - it's most of the menu (there were stars next to the items that were not included).
Our mocktails and cocktails were delicious - we particularly enjoyed the BooBoo and the Smoky Old Fashioned. For appetizers we selected the crab cake and the cooked oysters - both were flavorful and generous in portion. We had the filet and the lobster for our entrees (see photos). The lobster was slightly overcooked, but still flavorful and we enjoyed our entrees. We had the tiramisu ice cream cake (totally amazing - highly recommend) and the brownie with chocolate ice cream for dessert. The brownie would have been even better served warm, but it was still delicious.
Our server was attentive and friendly. We were greeted warmly and the door and promptly seated for our reservation.
The atmosphere is nice overall with a pretty view from the windows, nice decor, etc.
For some reason there was a group of about 6 young children running back and forth between the patio, the private room, and the restaurant itself throughout our evening. I have kids myself and have no issue with kids in a restaurant. I also understand that they may be bored during a longer dinner (why I left my own at home), but would be lying if I said it didn't detract from the evening to have them running between the tables, playing tag in the dining room, and seemingly totally unsupervised. (The adults they would go up to were on the patio and in the private room, so not in the dining room itself.)
Regardless, I would still happily...
Read moreMy parents have owned in the polo club for 15+ years and we’ve always had lunches and dinners at the club house. First time at dinner New Year’s Eve night with the new ownership and we were unaware the dinner was buffet style at 100$ a person. No problem though and we decided to do it and the food was great. We had my 2 year old daughter and my nephew who’s also 2 and we asked our waitress if we could get a plate of chicken tenders for them to split because the food was too fancy for them. The waitress said yes but then we would be charged for 100$ for each of them. So we declined that and they had golf fish and snacks from our diaper bags instead. When we got the bill the total had 100$ each child added to it. We asked the waitress about it and she went to get the manager who was the owner and he didn’t seem to care that they didn’t eat anything from the buffet and would not reason with us even a little bit. I’m very sad to say my parents now will no longer be a regular customer at the club house in their...
Read moreStallion, a new outpost of nearby Oli’s Fashion Cuisine, is located on the grounds of the Palm Beach Polo Club. It has a large cavernous dining room with ample seating at a crescent-shaped bar, tables for large parties (8-12), 4-tops, and high tops for walk-ins, too. There’s lovely outdoor seating on a balcony overlooking golfing greens. The bar has three huge televisions with one showing the requisite evening horse show.
We were well taken care of by a medley of young staff and a kind manager. The service is a bit slow and the dining room loud.
The food was good, not great, and the prices are quite high. The fish was fresh. One of us got steak that was somewhat tough and came with a baked potato that had obviously been cooked much earlier, possibly refrigerated, and then unevenly microwaved leaving cold bites of dry potato. We spent about $100 per person, split one appetizer, and had two...
