Regrettably, the operations of this library are not meeting expected standards. Upon my arrival, I conversed with a young African American female staff member and requested a private room. After a considerable wait, I obtained a room only to find two young men in an adjacent room being disruptive with loud conversation and laughter. This disrupted my efforts to study for an upcoming examination and appeared to have a negative impact on a tutor and student in the neighboring room.
One of the disruptive individuals later exited the room and engaged in conversation with the same African American employee, indicating familiarity between them. When I raised my concerns with her, she responded with a dismissive attitude, stating that the disruptive behavior was permitted. In a firm tone, I suggested that they relocate their activities outside to allow others, such as myself, to utilize the private rooms for their intended purpose.
I found the employee's demeanor unsatisfactory and am disheartened that this library is my only convenient option.

PS- you need to let the front desk know that you need a room, and depending on the availability you will either get the room right away or you will be put on a waitlist. You are guaranteed 2 hours for the room but you can also sit there for longer if there are no new folks waiting for a room. This library also has group study rooms. It can get quite noisy around 2pm to 4pm because many children from the nearby school utilize the library (not complaining, just informing the newcomers). The staff is very welcoming and friendly. Even the security...
Read moreI love this library and come here every week. It is spacious, clean, newly renovated (no ugly brown carpet), and has an extensive collection of resources from books, magazines, DVDs, and even movies. They also have very nice kids classes. We really enjoy Preschool Playdate and Sensory Playtime. My son also likes the open play space with blocks and legos. We have not seen such a space at other libraries. Just avoid it from 2 pm-5 pm because they have free snack for elementary kids so it’s run over by kids from Elbridge Gale. Other than that it’s an amazing...
