A pet peeve of mine is not being acknowledged. I am the type of person who will walk out if I'm not acknowledged in a timely manner. There was a woman clearly busy but a "someone will be right with you" would've been nice. Maybe a minute or two later a gentleman comes out from the back and apologized for the delay and asked if he could help me. I, of course, got a phone call at that exact moment so I asked for just a moment more. He was all smiles and pleasant with me. I asked him if I can upload rewards after the fact and he wasn't sure to which I said no worries I'll figure it out when he seemed like he was going to attempt to find out for me. After a decent wait a woman came out with my food and practically shoved it in my hand and the same with a family of three at the counter who exchanged faces with one another and commented saying "what is her problem?" amongst themselves. I walked out with my food and checked it. My salsa and extra Chipotle mayo I asked for were missing. So I walked back in. The woman who shoved my order into my hands asked me "what's wrong". I work in customer service so I am overly critical plus she already rubbed me the wrong way shoving food at me and other customers, but a "is there something more I can assist you with" would have been much more appreciated. I told her I was missing the sauces, to which another gentleman working alongside her got me my sauces. His name was Andrew he was very kind, smiled, and made me laugh as he made a tasteful joke about the sauces. The two men working there tonight we're excellent wish I would've caught the other employees names to call them out on their job well or poorly done as well. The cashier and Andrew were the reason I didn't get a single star and a bad review. The two women...
Read moreI was in the Loxahatchee, FL area for work and I visited the location on Southern Blvd. and I will tell you as a customer of Tropical Smoothie twice a day 5 days a week, I would NEVER return to this location!
First and foremost the manager on duty Jessica should NOT be a manager with her nasty attitude not only towards myself as a customer, but the way she treats her employees and the way she speaks to them is absolutely uncalled for and if I worked for her I would walk out and quit. She is the rudest person I have ever encountered in a managerial position and the laziest. She would shout demands, yet she wouldn't even pick up the slack to help her team take care of myself and multiple other customers and the only person who acknowledged me and was courteous was Cierra, Breanna and Rodney and I give each a 5 star after having to work under someone so atroseous and still having such positive attitudes and doing their jobs above and beyond. They appear to be young teenagers who take pride in making sure the operation at Tropical Smoothie is as smooth as possible even with what they have to deal with from management. Lastly, the fly issue is a bit much. I hope both issues are handled accordingly, however I think the manager is worse then the fly issue and surely she should not be in that position and maybe corporate should speak with the employees in regards to just how terrible she is as a manager and how she treats them. I am a father of 3 teenagers and I would not want my children working under someone as such and as a business owner I would not allow such negative behavior in my place of business. I will not return to...
Read moreDecent smoothies but the service is "O-K" at best and horrible most times. Unenthusiastic, non motivated workers will hesitantly take your order because honestly, they rather be talking with themselves or on their cellphones updating their social media. Went in to the place yesterday and was the ONLY person on line. The young man said "hi" and he was busy making smoothies for the couple that was sitting down. I waited for about five minutes, watched him serve their smoothies, then decided cleaning the equipment was more important that actually serving the customer in front of him. I couldn't believe it and stood there for about 20 seconds as he blatantly ignored me and turned his back to wash the blending equipment.
Here's my point and i hope the OWNERS read this - during this covid19 pandemic i understand businesses are suffering and times are tough. Which is MORE of a reason to TRAIN your staff and instill a WORK ETHIC in them. Why go to a NON ESSENTIAL business like Tropical Smoothie when i can WALK 50 FEET to Publix, purchase everything i need, then go home and make smoothies for my WHOLE family for the ENTIRE week. Now more than ever communities need to support one another, but it's important that businesses and the employees SUPPORT the customers with EXCELLENT customer service and PROMPT...
