Every time we go to Lubbock we're not from We're from there but we live somewhere else in another city we go to Pete's best burgers in town but the weekend of Mother's Day we went there that Friday when we got into town everything was fine then we went there back that Saturday and the owner had the nerve to tell us why we making our order so complicated I told him I can make my order how the hell I want I'm paying my damn money I am so very disappointed I will never go there again I was raised up in Lubbock Texas I've been going there for 57 years of my life that is a tradition in my family I was so appalled he was nasty how dare you tell me how to order my food me and my daughter was so disappointed I will never go there again when I come to town and I come to town a lot and we go there I tell everybody my friends that live in the city that I live in now and I tell if you ever take a trip to Lubbock Texas go to Pete's Burgers on Avenue A and 34th Street whoever the owner is you lost a good...

Extremely rude staff. I called to place a pick up order the lady on the phone (the cook) had an attitude. I called in to see if they were accepting orders due to it being almost closing time (it was 9:40) I was told yes. I tried to place my order but that didn’t go so well. After painfully placing my order (painful due to her attitude) I was told “You better come on because we’re about to close.” I was fully aware of that which is why I asked if they were still taking orders. The order wasn’t intricate at all very simple could’ve been placed within a matter of seconds, but I had to constantly repeat myself because she didn’t want to be bothered. Throughout the entire conversation she was extremely rude. I was so fed up with her lack of professionalism I told her to cancel my order and hung up. IT SEEMS LIKE THERE R TWO SIGNATURE PLACES TO GO WHEN WE RETURN HOME TO LUBBOCK AND THAT'S GOOD ART CANDY AND OF COURSE PETES THEY HAVE BEEN THERE SINCE B4 I WAS BORN AND MY MOM AND HER SIBLINGS STILL GO BACK TO THIS DAY I CAN REMEMBER THE 1st TIME I HAD A PETES BURGER I THOUGHT THAT WAS THE BEST THING I HAD EVER HAD(AND IT WAS AT THE TIME)BUT LIKE MOST PLACES THE ORIGINAL OWNERS MOVE ON AND NEW PEOPLE TAKE OVER AND THE FOOD IS NEVER THE SAME AFTER THAT NO MATTER HOW THEY TRY AND KEEP TO THE SAME MENU THAT PEOPLE GREW UP ON AND LOVE IT'S NEVER THE SAME THAT IS THE REASON I CAN ONLY GIVE THEM A THREE STAR RATING THE FOOD IS NOT AS GOOD AS IT WAS BUT NEVERTHELESS PEOPLE STILL GO AND THEY STAY BUSY SO IF U R EVER IN THE AREA U SHOULD SWING BY AND GET A TASTE OF THE PAST WHO KNOWS IT MIGHT BRING BACK THOSE FEELINGS WHEN THINGS MADE...
