The Potato Barn — Restaurant in Lumberton

Neighbor told me about this place. Been around town about 2 months before I actually found it. Place is very unassuming. An old cafe, come in and sit down. There are three laminated menu pages not attached. One breakfast and the other 2 are lunch. Ordered the very first item. It was served quickly and was delicious. There are two sizes, small and large. I got the small along with the salad bar. The salad bar is one trip only. Good amount of toppings. All food served on styrofoam plates and plastic silverware so it's not fancy but the food is really good. Sodas served in cans with a cup of ice and you're charged for both.

The wait could use some help. The day I was there, all appeared to be high school students on their first job. They were polite but that's it. The one I had didn't know how to smile and wasn't engaging. She took my order and delivered the food, that's it. Never checked on me again.

I initially needed to get my 5 month old out of the sun after court, but baby as I walked thru the door the smells of breakfast hit me!!!
